Unassuming diner-style environment, lots of choices in comfort food (fine dining enthusiasts may be unimpressed, but their loss) at reasonable prices - not cheap, but blame the local costs of doing business. The staff are simply great (friendly, efficient, patient with 'indecisive' patrons)... in all, an unexpectedly positive experience.
The WORST SERVICE EVER!!! We were seated the hostess bought us our drinks and we never seen anyone at our table again. The waiter who was waiting that area seen us and didn't acknowledge us at all. Seated two other parties served them and even refilled their drinks passed us multiple times and still nothing from the waiter. I feel like the waiter is racist. He attended to the Hispanics but NEVER attended to us at all. We waited an hour and finally just got up and left. WILL NOT EVER GO TO PLACE AND WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT FOR ANYONE ELSE!!!
5 Star on the wet chorizo, egg and potato breakfast BURRITO. You can always get a great cup of coffee. Good ol country comfort food. Been going there for years. We were there when it was The Acropolis
An excellent choice for a nice meal whenever you are in Lakewood. Portions are very good, food is great, staff is excellent. Parking here can suck on the weekends for breakfast, but be patient the food is well worth it.

Generous portions, bustling restaurant, clean, friendly and efficient staff serving housemade fare. Big menu offers many choices. Locals know this is the place to eat a delicious meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Omg great meal ? ? ? New place for me that my girlfriend took me to I had a late lunch so I was a bit full for dinner but when I saw the menu my ? eyes couldn't not stop my stomach from ordering everything that sounded good started out with a slice of apple pie ? then had breakfast for dinner and even added strawberry ? and whipped cream on my hot cakes ? great dinner stop definitely going to stop here again.
Not only is the service outstanding the food is home style and huge portions.I love the menudo! It’s served 7 days a week when you just can’t wait for the weekend.The fried chicken is a half chicken; juicy and crispy. It’s the special on Mondays.The fries and dusted with either cornstarch or flour before frying so they’re bubbly and crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside. So good!If you get a baked potato, be sure to ask for a pat of real butter and not the ‘whipped’. I’m certain the whipped is part margarine.You get a bread choice with your meal, I choose a muffin and take it packed to go for breakfast the next day. The blueberry and corn are really good.
great food & service everytime
Had a very nice breakfast on a Saturday morning. Eggs were well cooked. However, when I returned two weeks later, I ordered breakfast for a late lunch and it JUST wasn't the same. Customer service was also 100% better in the AM. I will return and woyld recommend this restaurant to friends as well.
