I like their food they have the best price ever. We ate there for mother's Day for the first time I always get food to go and it wasn't very good service. My son is almost like a food critic he likes to enjoy his food and he asks a lot of questions about sauces etc and the guy was not very eager to answer our questions and did not give us very nice answers other than that their food is good but not for dining in
The food was perfectly seasoned, the texture of the orange chicken struck a perfect balance between crunchy and soft. The Hot Sour soup had an adequate, yet not overpowering amount of spice, which, when coupled with the green onions coats the palate with a warm and spicy delight of flavor and splendor. The Family entree is extremely reasonably priced at 15.50 per person. With this price You'll receive a generous portion of food and appetizers which you can all share, giving all of you the pleasure in the ability to taste more delightful dishes that embrace you with an authentic flavor from China. The Cashew Chicken needs to be mentioned for its delicious mix of green peppers which were perfectly firm yet cooked just well enough so as to lend a delightful texture to the dish. I must also mention the delightful crunch of the cashew, adding to the delicious salty savory chicken within the dish. As we leave and my wife sees another man carrying out takeout containers, panic sets in. " Did we get the food?!" She exclaims. A relief washes over her as our daughter tells her we have the leftovers nestled safely upon her lap. We laugh with sweet relief, knowing we will enjoy the bevy of flavors the next day.
The restaurant is small but they also have take out and delivery service.. I took visiting family to the Golden Phoenix and we all agreed the service was fast, staff was courteous and the food was exceptionally good. Our lunch menu included an entree, fried/steamed rice, fried wontons, hot tea, fortune cookie and an almond cookie
I really like Golden Phoenix. Their food is excellent and very authentic..the portions are great...I know this from my travels..and the prices are very reasonable....the staff is friendly and respectful. And they are fluently multilingual...this adds to the comfortable nature of the environment..this of course is not my first time here, nor will it be the last...
Food arrived well ahead of the delivery window, everything was hot and delicious (even for my super picky eater!), and there was more than enough for leftovers the next day. Will definitely eat there again
My hubby introduced me to this place over 15 years ago when we first got married. I've been eating their food ever since. Good, delicious food. Walnut Shrimp is my favorite.
A great small local Chinese restaurant. They offer fast delivery, delicious food, and hearty portions. There is a minimum order for delivery but it makes for a quick and easy family dinner. Our family favorites are General Tso's Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and what I think is the absolute best Wor Wonton Soup in the area. This is a small local eatery that does a great job for the customer.
Hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants in Lakewood. I am very picky with my Asian food as I grew up on Guam with some of the best Asian food around me, and this restaurant is IT? also, my boyfriend is vegan and it is fairly difficult to find Asian restaurants that offer good vegan options, but everything from the orange tofu to the salt and pepper tofu is AMAZING.. and I eat real meat! Some Chinese restaurants I’ve been to make my stomach hurt from the grease, but I am full and happy everytime I eat at golden pheonix.This is my forever go to Chinese restaurant. Horrible restaurant cant even call it a restaurant. I got the teriyaki chicken plater with rice, the chicken was frozen and musky straight gross, was a togo order and the place is filthy, there's a pet shop next door and im half sure that's where they get there product. Sauce was absolutely horrid, musky and tssted like plastic, 90% sure were got over charged since my elderly grandparent was with me was 26.75 on paper got charged 38.70 if any of you are reading this shame on you get your act together or quit
