Great sushi at good prices. The place is small, but service was pretty fast, even on a Saturday night.

Best local Sushi spot in OC! You can’t beat the quality, price and consistency of this spot. Family owned for many years and they have so many great chefs everyday of the week. Truly a gem and so honored to have this spot so near my house. Things I would recommend off the side menu - Pepper Squid and Monk Fish Liver are fantastic. If you like Saba sushi it is one of my favorites here as well as the live shrimp when in season. But the Negi Toro Sushi, Uni and Hamachi are always a great choice here as well. Chris and his team of waitresses are very kind and helpful and staff are always there to help. Hope you give it a try and if you see me at the bar come say hello!

Super Oishi! It looks like a hole in a wall place, but it exudes an atmosphere of authentic friendliness and Japanese hospitality. The sushi chef is very friendly and attentive to our needs, as well as the rest of the staff. The food they have are also yummy and is not very pricey compared to other Japanese restaurants. Good value for money. They gave us some oranges after our meal. It's a good way to end a nice dinner.
The food here is amazing and have no complaints about. The servers on the other hand (other than the owners son and one lady) always look grumpy and in a bad mood. The older lady with glasses always has something to say about how much food we order (oh its a lot of food or you guys are really hungry today). The younger girl with glasses also looks like she doesn’t want to be there. But I don’t care so I still go but some customers might not like that attitude! Other than that great food.
I was born in Japan, grew up in Kansai, and moved to America. Recently, the number of Korean-run sushi restaurants has increased, and I dislike it because sushi with strange things and sauce on it, isn’t proper sushi. Anyone can make sushi, but if you want authentic sushi, I’d highly recommend Uoko restaurant. Uoko is a safe quality restaurant that is Japanese owned, with Japanese sushi chefs and servers and serves real Japanese sushi at an affordable price.
