Best Sushi I've ever had. It's like visiting grandparents. If you want a quick bite, chain sushi down the street is taking orders.
Excellent,Will come again next time.
My wife and I showed up with my 15 yr old government registered service Shitzu that has been monitoring my Ktones for 12 yrs. I am not supposed to, however showed them his government issues ID. They still refused service.Too bad, I tip on average 50 to 75 percent. And now am reporting them to the ADAEvening the customers inside asked if he could stayNot cool
Very tasty, good value for the price on the lunch menu
I have not eaten at Sushi Wazen since it opened up, but having moved closer to the area, they have definitely become our number 1 pick for local sushi. The fish quality as well as the skills of the chef was exceptional. The professionality and friendliness of the staff made us feel very comfortable and enjoyed every moment at the restaurant. My only negative critique was that the wait was a tad longer than we would have liked, but they did explain to us that the kitchen chef was not feeling well, and went home. I can't wait to come back again!
We drove to Wazen Sushi to see their menu, and we wound up eating lunch there. A dish of salmon teriyaki was brought to our table by mistake. I sampled it, and it was so delicious that I asked my wife to taste it, but the very hurried and harried-looking waitress rushed it away before we could take a breath. Our agedashi tofu was good but there were no bonito flakes. The salad was very good, and the Japanese rice was white rice with mushroom stems in it. We also had a California roll. They had plum wine on the menu, which we consider a plus. It seems that, like many restaurants nowadays, Wazen have a shortage of wait staff.
We had an amazing dinner at this mom and pop restaurant. The quality of fish was really good and everything tasted like an authentic Japanese sushi. I like places where they keep their rolls simple without crazy sauces all over. Dishes may get served a bit slow, since we only saw an elderly couple in the kitchen. We will definitely go back soon!
This is a small, unassuming place. My father-in-law says the tonkatsu rivals what you can get in Japan. It’s perfectly crispy without being oily. The sashimi and sushi portions are on the smallish side but the quality is very good.
Small family business. Just 1 kitchen chief doing all the work, but the food and service is quite good. Small size restaurant with quality and reasonable pricing.
I just found my favorite authentic Japanese restaurant in OC. Love love Love! Amazing ? ????✅
