Food was decent but absolutely not worth the price. And truthfully, although somewhat unimportant, presentation was horrible. The pictures on the wall were incredible. Then I saw the plate and was very disappointed. Tried my girls mashed potatoes and gravy and was very unimpressed. The meat was good but that was about it. Likely won’t return. To any sizzler probably.
This has to be one of my favorite restaurants on El Toro - the "food strip" of South Orange County. The staff is kind and attentive and I love the recessed lighting in 3 different areas - red, yellow and blue. The color doesn't make the food look any different but reduces any harsh lighting and makes me feel very comfortable sitting down for a steak, shrimp and that nummy Chicken Malibu! Don't forget to ask for cheese toast and there is usually a special on your birthday or you are in the rewards club.
Quality is subpar on the salad bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a roving gentleman clearing tables as we finished plates and he was extremely friendly and considerate. Management really has built a good team there. Over all the restaurant was clean and well kept with a great staff. I would recommend coming but don't expect much from the salad bar.
Server was an A+ but the cashier need to learn how to smile more. They need to bring their corn fritters back!!! They replaced their fritters with chicken nuggets, which we could get from McDonald's! Also, they had potato wedges that were very dry.
This was the second sizzler I have visited this year!! Big difference!! Buena Park sizzler surprised me with a great steak and Malibu chicken combo!! Everything was great. Not the case here!! The same plate was actually $3.00 more than Buena Park restaurant. I asked and they said it was because they included an "certified Angus" cut!! Now I know what the difference!! This steak was a much lower quality and it has burn charcoal as if the cook hadn't cleaned the grill grates. The baked potatoe was dry and definitely not fresh!! I can tell when a baked potato has been sitting under the heat lamp!! Not coming back.
As a customer on fixed income, sad to see that Sizzler has joined the club like several other restaurants adding a separate line item of 3.5% to cover costs.Dined there a few days ago and our server Jose was great as usual, sadly food was not. Will not rush back anytime soon.
My opinion may be tainted by the fact that this company literally stole artwork from artists I employed years ago. I was dumbstruck when I walked in and viewed artwork my artists were underpaid to create for a single Sizzler location 700 miles away. Shame on you, Sizzler!Beyond that, the $32 rib eye my husband ordered was 40% fat and gristle and the salad bar was an unkempt mess of vegetable parts and commercial salads. Aside from my obvious bias against criminal behavior, our $65.00 meal (one entree and one salad bar) was nothing to write home about. Unless you're writing a review to advise that BJ's a mile down the road is a much better choice...
The restaurant was busier than we expected but going off of The Taste and presentation of the food and makes perfect sense. Everything that we order was on point and was delicious. The topper was our server Jose, our drinks were half empty and Bam! He was there with a new one. My kids ate all the cheese bread, and Bam! There was another basket. Very friendly and address my kids as individuals:-) definitely works by stars
Went for another company lunch. Annual thing and always good service. No complaints on food, good value.
Their salad bar is killer! It's a bit on the pricey side, but it's fresh, big, and they keep the hot hot and the cold cold. Their texas toast is also killer.
