I have been coming to My Buddies since 1986. I know I'm dating myself, but I just say this to show how good this place is. I keep coming back. Yes, there are new owners now, but the quality of the food is still A-#1. This place is somewhat of a hidden gem. Everyone wants to go to the newest places, but My Buddies is tried and true, my all time favorite pizza spot. My Husband finally came with me to rty them out, and he was blown away. The pictures below, are MEDIUMS of the Everything, Buddy Del Mar, and a pepperoni mushroom. I tried to tell him how big and loaded the pizzas were, but sometimes you just have to find out for yourself. We could have shared with four more people! Okay... Now, besides the pizza being phenomenal... there's a newly updated arcade! Yes, we had to get our game on. It's all part of the My Buddies experience, and we had a great time. We even got to meet some very nice, other locals who have been going for years too.
Place was dirty, seems like tables and arcade games don't get wiped down often . I had to wipe the tables down before my kids sat . Feels so musty In there. Oh, and the pasta is nasty . Only good thing is the pizza. Deff won't be going again .
Update: I went down and talked to Sarah. She was very understanding, validating my concerns. She took down my information and I received a follow up call from Blake the next day who took care of us. Thank you My Buddies for taking care of long time customers.
Seems they are more worried about making money than quality and cleanliness. Restaurant is not clean at all…everything has some kind of sticky stuff on it. They are also very pricey. Staff can use some customer service skills as well. I won’t be going back to this place because even though we had hope the food would change our minds well it did until we got home and every single one of us has had food poisoning for the past 2 days going onto the 3rd. If you really want to stay open….I suggest you clean this place from top to bottom and train these girls to also handle food the right way. Very disappointed.
Do not order from here. The staff is incompetent. Delivery drivers have no sense of direction and staff has no sense of customer service or fixing a problem that they created. It’s not the customers fault the delivery driver has no idea how to navigate the neighborhood or follow simple instructions to turn down a street and come down a driveway. I had to meet the driver at the sheriffs station to pick up my $50 order. At the sheriffs station!! Has anyone ever heard of this? What planet is this? An hour and a half later we finally have our pizza. Thanks to my mom for picking it up. Apologies don’t fill my family’s belly. Shame on you My Buddies Pizza.
First impressions: It’s not clean, we came in @11 when they opened and all the tables around us are dirty, black stuff in sodas from the machine, hour wait while others came and went. One of the workers was sweet, the other was definitely not. Staff wear no gloves or any covering over their beards. Watched them pick toppings after pizza was cooked, with bare hands. Delivery has priority, not customers in-store, so be prepared.They need additional training. Arcade is cute for the kids.
Pizza is always on point, I think it's the best in town. Fresh baked hand tossed bread that compliments any toppings you choose. Mine & my wifes favorite go to's are: the pepperoni jalapeno calzone, spuddy chips, antipasta salad with Cesar dressing and hot wings well done. Also, they have a pretty decent variety of beer on tap. I recommend giving this place a try, you may have a new favorite pizza spot.
Pizza was great! Zucchini was awesome. Forgot to take pictures of the food but it was good. Area where at seems a little run down but I would recommend.
Overall very good pizza. Taste is excellent and cheese is oustanding. Somewhat inconsistent so 4 stars instead of 5. Have had 1/3 outside edge of pizza without anything on it, just crust. Also not consistent with amount and cook level of Spuddy Chips which are a house specialty. Sometimes container will hardly close, other times looks like we got a half order.
Very nice owner Bob who helped us at last minute for a group gathering. Suggest the BLT pizza.
