Saw the sign that read, “under new management,” and thought it would be quick, easy and painless. Maybe the goood reviews were because someone else was helping them. I was at about 1:55pm today 3/14/2022. I walk in and the guy is making a sandwich. He doesn’t acknowledge me or say hello. So I wait….I wait….he still says nothing to me but has already seen me. He continues making the sandwich for what I assume was an Uber Eats or someone who wasn’t there yet. Then I keep browsing the menu waiting for him to finish. Then he finishes and I expect he might say hello or how can I help you? Still nothing from him. He looks at me and pushes a cart to the back. He’s in the back for about a minute. By now it’s awkward. Then we walks out again and walks passed me again. Now I’ve been waiting maybe 5 minutes with not even a hello. Finally he looks up at me and just looks at me saying nothing. Unbelievable! I work for Rolex and understand we all have bad days and I’m usually the guy, like him, behind the counter. But no matter what’s going on I always greet customers and if I can’t get to them right away say something like, “Someone will be right with you. Thank you for waiting.” At least to acknowledge the customer. I know I wasn’t at Rolex or any luxury establishment but basic fundamental customer service was non-existent here today. What a disaster. I wonder if the new management has ever seen this type of behavior before from its staff. I think a basic talking to this employee about basic customer service is definitely in order.
Tried to order three footlong tuna deluxe at 10:30 am Sunday 1/30/2022, The tuna container only had maybe 2 scoops left at the bottom of the bucket and I asked for a fresh container and was told they did not have any more. I questioned the clerk and he just walked away. The restaurant is at 28950 Golden Lantern, Laguna Niguel, CA92677. I drove to another restaurant and spent well over $35.00 plus tip on the take out meal.
