My husband and I love this bakery! We even order through DoorDash when it’s difficult to take our kids with us. They have a full menu of assorted yummy meals and scrumptious bakery items. My husband surprised me for our anniversary and bought all my favorite desserts at Scratch! We have a very nice and caring young woman who helps us, named Melissa. Try and ask for her if you go in, she is always very pleasant and such a caring young lady. We always walk away with a smile! ?
My boyfriend and I tried this bakery today and got the cinnamon twist and the regular croissant. Both were good. We wanted a ham and cheese croissant but, they were already out by the time we got there. So we decided to try just the pastries. We ordered a latte as well, which tasted watered down. While we enjoyed trying this restaurant, we will probably not return.
Initially came here for the breakfast burrito (with bacon) but ended up having their chocolate croissant as well.Breakfast burrito was delicious, although much smaller than most breakfast burrito offerings out there. Their verde sauce is the best I ever had with a nice kick.Croissant had the perfect amount of chocolate. Slightly filled inside. A soft chew, and not as flaky as you would expect with most croissants. This is not a bad thing.Friendly, nice customer service. Plenty of seating outside if you are looking to have a treat with a dose of natural vitamin D.They bake fresh bread including English muffins!
A bit far from home (20 minute drive) but well worth it! We always grab a bag of the English muffins with our pastries. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
Our first visit to scratch bakery.the young man suggested we try his favorite the cinnamon scone. The buttery cinnamony moist taste was so yummy. Many scones tens to be dry......not this one .....yummmmmmy!
Went here today and the management seems very lax at enforcing the mask mandate. It’s a shame because the food is very good actually. The cashier wasn't wearing a mask and I asked him to put it on and he said he doesn't have one, but asked me if I'd prefer someone with a mask to help me. I also noticed some customers entering without a mask and standing in line to order, and management looks the other way. All this in the midst of a state-wide mask mandate. It's examples like this that's why we're still in a pandemic and can't have "normal" anymore.
While out running errands for work, we thought we would pop by a cute local place we had seen a number of times before but had never tried. The staff were amazing, the bakery and deli cases were well stocked and clean, and the outdoor patio seating were quite comfortable with padded chairs. Unfortunately, the breakfasts were barely more than passable.I ordered the breakfast platter with eggs over medium (they were properly cooked) with hashed browns (like McDonalds, but not crisp) and bacon (like the precooked bacon you microwave from Costco) with their signature English muffin (more like a breakfast hamburger bun).We also ordered the vegetarian breakfast burrito sans onion. The first notable difference was the use of guacamole instead of avocado slices. Additionally, the size was just perfect for a quick breakfast without dealing with leftovers. We strongly encourage eating the burrito with the homemade salsa to give it some real flavor.Lastly, we ordered an iced coffee (medium roast, very mild and flavorful-not over-bearing), a warm caramel macchiato (whose flavor was judged to be better than Starbucks), and a larger-than-life cinnamon roll (excellent cream cheese frosting, very fluffy roll).Overall very passable and we look forward to a return to try the bakery goodies.
Scratch Bakery Cafe was up front about its having problems. Certain items would not be available and service would be slow. Strangely enough those things were not problems. The problem was the food. My grilled cheese sandwich tasted as though it had been made with "pasteurized process cheese food." My tomato and basil soup tasted as though it had been made out of those little 99-cent containers of dried soup at nearby Trader Joe's. I could have shrugged this off, but we got out of there for $40.00. We felt ripped off; we could have gotten much better somewhere else for the same money. Avoid this place.
OREO Cookie Cheesecake and Cappuccino were scrumptious ?
I love this place!!! Food is amazing, coffe is great and the service always exceptional. The eggs Benedict with homemade English muffin unlike anything offered anywhere else. Pastries and cookies are never a disappointment.
