Kee was my chef during my absolutely amazing dinner. 3 rolls and they just kept getting better. The fish was buttery and just right. Can not express to you enough how good of a decision this stop was
Prices are way off. Online and brochure are 2-6$ off of what they actually charge. With so many places to choose from won't be back. Just be honest. No need to be deceitful.
Plays bait and switch on $2.50 draft beers that they advertise with two huge banners.Menu shows $4.50. She said prices are 4.50 and they are taking down banners.Waitress wanted to argue the point. Came back said we will honor on Kirrin only. I said I get one or two Sapporo on draft usually... she said no on Sapporo but then another waitress jumped in andsaid it would be okay... at that point I was over it wanted to leave because of feeling uncomfortable having to argue in the first few minutes of being there over not wanting to honor advertisement at first. It's a WEEK later and I went to see why the same banners are up... you could read the rest on Yelp.He told me if customers complain then he charges the 2.50 for nowI only have one or two imagine the surprise of having six to eight and paying double the price.... he says some people don't say anything because they figure it's only for happy hour I said it doesn't say that on the banner and he agreed
This place is the best sushi south of LA. My wife and I have been to 40 or so sushi places and have a rating system for each. This one scored the highest at a 100/100 and we've been here ever since. We score it by taste, price, service, and atmosphere. It scores a 10 in each. Good quality sushi (trust us we've been to many places) with amazing priced bento boxes and lots of food. The staff is so amazing and come here a couple of times and they'll prepare your meal before you even sit down. It's nice and quite when you aren't there during the rush but even if so there's quite a bit of beautiful wood decore that it eats the sound. It'll always be peaceful. Can't recommend this place enough
Server, Sam, is amazing. She catches on very quickly to what you like and make suggestions on new fish that they get in each day. The owner manager is very open to suggestions and earnestly wants to make your meal special. We used to go all the way into Newport Beach to our favorite sushi restaurant for unusual fish and now we don’t have to anymore. The only negatives, and the past, some of the prep was not consistent but they seem to have fixed that. Sometimes take home is not exactly what you ordered. Often the fish is better than anywhere else I could go.
I get the albacore lovers roll every time with Miso soup My husband gets the teriyaki chicken Both are very tasty and exceptionally fresh ingredientsStaffing has been a bit rough for them I think during Covid but they seem to have it under controlVery friendly staff overall and welcomingMy daughter and her son picked this place as “pretty good” when compared to their L.A. venues
They have the freshest fish anywhere in the area. That's really my only criterion for a sushi place. Everywhere else around seems to douse things in sauce, which is fine but kind of misses the point. They're also super friendly, which is a huge plus.
Small portions and half a scoop of rice is what’s served here. Rude waitresses is the last feeling after you leave here.Bland miso soup and chicken teriyaki tastes rubbery. Rice was stale. They don’t answer their phones because I tried calling multiple times for my lost wallet. Had to go back down there and they lied saying I didn’t leave it there. Had to report my cards stolen.
Great food. My go too in South County. Favorite Is California roll.
Finally I found a place with a sushi roll similar to Vancouver's dynamite roll... 1000 oak roll. In a bento box with beef teriyaki.
