Pretty quality overall. Service was attentive. Spicy tuna, salmon, halibut, scallops were all very good. All our tuna including otoro did not taste good though.
The nigiri and sashimi are fresh, if a little undersized. The selection of fish is fairly extensive. The rolls are okay. The biggest problem with this place is that there is no way to get ahold of them without visiting in person after 5pm. They have their phone set to not reach a human or even take a voicemail. There is no messaging them through here or their website. If you have a question to ask them, a problem with your order, or as in my case, forget a pair of glasses at your table, you cannot reach them. That's problematic.
The nigiri/sashimi is decent quality and there is a fairly good number of selections available, but the pieces are undersized for the price. They have disabled their phone system and it is impossible to reach a staff member by phone, email, or chat. The only way you can reach someone is to physically go to the business. This is problematic if you have an issue with your order, need to clarify something, or forget a pair of glasses or a wallet. A restaurant should have a working phone line.
New go to sushi joint in LB for me. Been here twice and great both times. Sushi is solid but gotta also try lotus chips appetizer and the tempura ice cream for dessert!
So horribly disappointed, we were really looking forward to coming in here for a bday. I wrote in the reservation that this was a bday. The menu selection is very limited and we asked for specific rolls which is nothing crazy we were told they couldn't do them. We were hoping for the same kind of experience from the old place but this new one is completely horrible. The only reason I didn't give this place a one star is because the sashimi was not bad, but for the price point this place is definitely not one to go to. There are so many great sushi bars around steer clear of this one. As far as the bday what ever I put in the request was completely ignored and the waitresses was acting like she was doing us a favor by bringing out some ice cream. Do your selves a favor and stay away from this place.

If you are in the Laguna Beach area you must come here. The Crispy rice spicy tuna was fantastic. The pan seared shrimp dumplings are so frickin good. All of the sushi rolls we received were outstanding. Service was great. Atmosphere was great. You really can not go wrong coming here. Highly recommend
Hands down the best sushi!! Super fresh and great chefs. We’ve celebrated many birthday nd anniversaries here, it’s our family’s go to!

Soft opening for their relocation to the swankier (former Okura) location with a very nice covered outdoor room. Ignore any location photos prior to Oct 2021.Service was very attentive and very safe (masked and gloved) though lacking knowledge of the dishes which is understandable as they've just reopened.Food was excellent and well presented, though the menu will be expanded once they fully open. Weirdly the first drink menu I was given was missing 2 of the sakes.
