Nice ? place to visit great food
Me and my husband went out to Laguna beach for our anniversary and we decided to stop at Ruby’s. We have been to a different Ruby before in Palms Spring. At this Ruby’s we had an awesome experience. The waiters and waitresses were really nice. Our food did not took long to make and it was very delicious. I also love the vibe of the restaurant and the decor. I recommend this play to anyone wanting to eat at a diner through time.
I’ve been coming here with my family on occasion since I was a kid. You can always expect wonderful service and great food. TODAY though they went above and beyond.Our car got a dead battery in the parking lot. As we were calling AAA, Jesus and Eric noticed and came over to check on us, then, they got their car and came over with jumper cables. Not only that, but they hooked them up and stayed with us. We realized the battery was completely shot and thanked them. We insisted with gratuity for their trouble, they declined. As we were waiting for AAA, Eric came out with waters for us.My family and I are just blown away with the kindness of this staff. They have always been wonderful but today they REALLY went above and beyond. Thank you Jesus and Eric! Ruby’s is so lucky to have you guys and so were we.
Just as good as I remember it from when I was younger. Serving staff was great, friendly, and attentive. Food came out in decent amount of time. Can't go wrong with the chicken finger dinner and burgers. Also the Oreo milkshakes are delightful. Pleasantly nostalgic! Thanks!
This place is by far one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The main reason is because of our incredible host Lily!! Right away she sat us and instead of just asking for what drinks we wanted she asks where we are from and we end up having a super long conversation about the area around Laguna. After we ate we went outside to take some pictures of the cars. My dad and I were taking selfies and she saw us and asked if we wanted her to take our picture. She truly made this experience one of a kind, and because of HER we WILL be stopping back!! Thank you Lily for being so great to us!! Also my dad loved the burgers, and I had grilled cheese which was so perfect!!
We love this place. We eat here every time we come to Newport. The food is great, the staff is friendly and helpful. I've eaten many different selections, everything I've tried has been delicious! We love to sit on the roof top terrace...the view is fantastic! Can't wait to go back again!
This is a great restaurant with a roof top that faces the ocean. The waiter was great, he brought out heating lamps to keep us from being chilled. The food was ok, the mocha shake was fantastic! It's a nice relaxing atmosphere with top notch views.

Beautiful place with a classic dinner fill. Upon arrival, you'll observe prestige vintage cars. Once inside you'll be greeted by waitresses wearing 50's attire. My fave was the phone by the restroom. In all my ventures to old dinners, this was the first one I've encountered.
Good American food, friendly service, fair prices. Knocked a couple of stars off because ice cream for their Sundaes comes out of a machine; not hand scooped and their Fries are a little weak. Overall though not too bad.
