Fabulous food, service and ambiance. Family owned and run - very very special. One of our favorite restaurants ever. The meatloaf, catfish and garlic shrimp are supreme!!

Super cute place that looks like it has been here forever. Old world vibe. Pretty much every dish has shrimp so if you’re into that then this is a great spot! Lovely service.

Absolutely delicious food and even better friendly service. Perfect experience in every way!

The real deal. Spicy shrimp was awesome with fresh bread. Generous plate of catfish done awesome. All served nice and hot by friendly staff.

The Roux is a restaurant serving Creole Cuisine which is located a few streets up from the beach in Glenneyre St, Laguna Beach. They serve a range of dishes inspired by New Orleans culture. We shared Fried Cornmeal Oysters with Lemon Remoulade & Cornichons and I enjoyed the Jambalaya, my companions tried the New York Steak and the Gumbo. We all appreciated the NOLA memorabilia around the room. Roux is different from the average resturaunt and is well worth the visit.

On point restaurant. Everything was delicious. I do not have a lot of experience with creole cuisine but I can say everything was very enjoyable. The place is small, the bar area is very comfortable. Shrimp and grits were super rich in flavor and texture.

Spectacular cuisine. Seeing the open-kitchen upon entering reassured me that this experience was going to be delicious. The garlic shrimp & cheesy grits shrimp will have me back for more. Lovely service too! Get the buttermilk pie - they’re famous for it!

Omg this place is amazing. The food was superb rib eye and steak 1855 , fried green ? was deelish. If you love dessert is too die for

The experience was wonderful. The service, ambiance and food were terrific. The cauliflower and fried green tomatoes appetizers were delicious. I had the shrimp and grits as my entree and the corn bread pudding as a side for the table. There wasn't anything on the table that wasn't prepared properly. Everything we had was flavorful and intentional. The cobbler that we had for dessert was good but, in my opinion, not as good as the rest of the meal. The ambiance was charming and the prices were reasonable. The service was impeccable.

The New Orleans/Asian fusion did not work for me. The veggies in the Voodoo Shrimp and red beans and rice were too crunchy. The coconut over took the shrimps in Voodoo. The red beans and rice did not meld together. I should have asked for the most ordered meal, and get that. I was interested in the restaurant, but I won't be going back.
