Ordered pork katsu for takeout, and found out later at home that they didn't give me the dipping sauce for thr pork. Without it, the katsu is only very dry. A little disappointed. Hope they are more attentive to what they do
in town for a few days and was craving japanese food.ordered take out.assorted tempura, california roll, and signature fried rice with chickeni knew ordering tempura for take out would not be the same quality as dine in so with regards to the tempura i was not expecting top notch. but i was at least expecting some sort of "notch". i didn't like it because the veggies given was maybe to different veggiesthe california roll was also nondescript, the roll was pretty flavorlessthe fried rice, just as bland and boring.i picked up around 7 on a friday night. place was empty and i could see why.satisfy my craving...nope
Very nice place, great sushi and some special dishes (Shots Specials). The tempura was excellent, the Shota Spicy Halibut was a really great experience.I came at an earlier time and the place was empty, which provided personalized attention from the owner, Unfortunately as many other restaurants, personnel is limited to a couple, mostly the owner and the sushi chef(s). I highly recommend this place!
We tried this new Sushi place in town. The staff is really friendly and willing to give recommendations. We tried 3 different rolls and all were good. The tempura is generously sized. Our party split on the taste. Half liked it and the other half said just OK.Overall this is a nice new addition to the sushi scene and we'll go back again. The decor is fresh and contemporary, yet warm and inviting.
Ordered 2 tempura mix and they were great. Coated perfectly but the sauce mixture didn’t taste like any other tempura sauce I’ve had. I also ordered a TNT roll. I did get it to go so it was in a foam to go box. Inside it has deep fried eel, avocado and albacore tuna. Outside it had spicy scallop, masago and green onion with unagi and spicy Mayo. From the picture on yelp, it didn’t look anything like it. It came with 5 pieces. It was also plated in such an awkward way, pieces randomly scattered and sauce on the foam plate like it was dropped there and then moved. The whole thing was deep fried and had some white jelly like substance on top, I’m assuming it is the scallops but it was more like crystal boba than scallops. I had 2 and then in the 3rd one, I found a fish bone. I bit into it and luckily didn’t swallow it before finding the bone. Spit it out and saw a bone nearly an inch big. First time here and it was empty when we went in, shoulda been an indicator that it’s not the greatest. Probably won’t be returning back after this first experience.
We recently moved back to the area and wanted to give Shota Sushi a try. We've now been there twice: once for takeout and once for dine-in. Both times the food was very good. The table service was excellent. The server was extremely friendly and helpful and came back often to check on us, refill our drinks, etc.By the way, the sashimi salad was tasty, large, and had a nice, light dressing.
The Food is AmazingMy reason for one star is that I told our Waiter I'm Highly Allergic to Avocado ? and although it was taken out, my food was Placed on the same Plate.
GREAT SERVICE .DELICIOUS FOOD AND THE BEER IS COLD . WE WILL BE BACK .
I go to this outstanding place many times because I enjoy the special air that is exist in this restaurant. The crew is extraordianrillyremarkably friendly and well trained. The service is extraordinarily fast. Most important, the food they prepare is first-rate. I visited often and I was never disappointed. The rate is modest. I recommend this restaurant to to everybody.
Sushi was fresh and service is fantastic.
