We were looking for a quaint local spot and we found it! I saw some of the recent negative reviews and am at a loss since the service we received was awesome.We were seated right away and a young lady came to wipe down the table within seconds. I did pop inside to check for a specials menu and found out that Loco moco was their special today.We had our drink order taken right away which was very nice, then our waitress came and took our orders. Everyone we have encountered here has been friendly and attentive.My co-worker and I both ordered the Loco Moco and we were glad we did. Lots of flavor and good portions. Please note that it comes with mushrooms in the gravy.This is definitely on our list the next time we are in town on business.
This quaint Lil spot is truly nostalgic. I loved that home comfort feeling. As soon as I walked in everyone was super friendly.But let's talk about food!! It was an amazing home cooked meal. They gave you big portions. I got the country fried steak, with their seasoned hashbrowns and scrambled eggs. It came with a side of toast, pancake or biscuit and gravy. I picked the biscuit and gravy.My daughter, who is 3, was already super hungry, so I asked if I could put her order in asap and they did so kindly. She was so happy when her Mickey pancake came out, along with her chocolate milk and whip cream. This was a hidden gem for me, so glad I came across it. I will be returning on a regular.
We’ve discovered this amazing home style breakfast place about 2 months ago. Delicious every time, friendly and fast service. They never let your coffee cup go dry. Great place, generous portions!
Genesis was a wonderful waitress. I had delicious pot roast and my husband had a delicious stir fry. Everything is good and it's a step back in time. We dined in we got dinner
Really like this place but I think I had a new server today. Never did get my toast, took 17 minutes to get check after finishing my breakfast. It was very busy and I will go back. The food is good and the portions you receive are large. I guess is was my turn. Bring cash. This is a cash resturaunt.
Went to have lunch today and did not like my food! Overcooked roast beef and bad service.I cannot believe it, it was a good place to go to but I well not go back! This is la verne, Great people and small town is never better. What happen to it?Just cannot believe we were sick from the food.Best of luck, if you can make changes before you go out of business. It needs a owner that run the business and lives local.
If you want to go back to the "good ole days" then come to Roberta''s . The food reminded me of the 50's style, waitresses so attentive, and atmosphere was like back in the day when life was easy. The owner does the cooking and the plates that went by me to other customers were so good looking. The place, including bathrooms were immaculate and that is something you don't see anymore. Yes! Come and enjoy a day back in time at Roberta's!
Always a great place to dine in and take out ? My favorite item is hands down the Ortega omelette with the seasoned hash browns ? Also the coffee is fantastic ☕️. One more thing, don’t forget to ask for the pico de Gallo as a side ?? tasty ?
Location; Good, Parking; Not Great, Service;Good, Food for price; Balanced, Overall; This was the second time there and it was good. For Parking I would suggest behind the restaurant it can be full but during the morning a few spots open up. The place was busy and the servers were doing good with each table. The breakfast was nice and came out at a decent time. I would come back here whenever I am in downtown LaVerne..
Lovely little diner with that old-school feel. Great food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Can't wait to come back! My grandfather and I used to eat here and just brought my wife for the first time since he passed. Love this spot. Just remember it's cash only so come prepared! They do have an ATM if needed and the fee wasn't crazy.
