Throughly enjoyed the chili verde. The pork fell apart and the rice and beams were excellent. Great food for the price
We have been loyal customers for about 15 years. We love the food, but the prices are OUTRAGEOUS. $9 for a bean and cheese burrito?! Give me a break. Also, the staff changes so often that almost every time we go in we feel like a stranger. Clearly the owner does not understand the importance of maintaining loyal customers in a small town. We will, sadly, be looking for another Mexican restaurant soon. There are plenty around with much more reasonable prices. Ridiculous.
Tacos are expensive, but good. $6 for a taco is a little outrageous. Service on Cinco de mayo was horrendous. I get it, that day would be slow, but waited almost 2 hours for 6 tacos to go. Usually, that's not the case there, so I gave them a break by hanging out in the bar while I waited.
So this place actually has pretty decent food and drinks. Their salsa is actually one of the best salsas in town! The reason for my two star rating has nothing to do with the quality of the food it's more that EVERY single time I order food to go (which is always, never sat down here to eat) they ALWAYS get my order wrong. The first time it happened - I thought eh it's okay it happens, but nope this is a recurring issue at this restaurant. Today I went in and ordered my food and waited. My mother in law and I ordered three combo plates and I got a margarita to go. I waited patiently for about 20 minutes and then the nice hostess brought out my food all wrapped up in a bag and I left and went home. I get home and open the food and all three combo plates were not what I ordered. I called the restaurant and they replaced all my meals free of charge with my correct order. However, when I went back to pick up the food I could tell that the cook was irritated as the paper lids on the containers we're all smashed down and my food was totally smashed flat and was just slopped into the containers. This was def not my fault as I paid $75 for the food and for that much money I do expect them to get the order right. The owner of this place needs to get on top of their kitchen and needs to tell their cooks to mark/write on the container lids with the contents inside so they can stop continuously switching up orders if they insist on cooks bagging up the to-go orders. If it continues I will stop going here and find another good local spot for Mexican food.
Mediocre food at high prices. The food was not authentic and the beans and rice tasted microwaved and old. For a $17 plate I expected more. I ordered a Machaca Burrito and it was dripping oil and eventually fell apart. We asked for salsa and waited 10 mins and did not get it. Wasn’t going to leave a review but they also overcharged me. My total was $34 and I left a 2 dollar tip yet I was charged $46. Would not recommend to anyone.? You are better off getting street tacos.
My family and I have been coming here for years and it's not just the authentic food that keeps us coming back but the family that runs the locations have continued to keep up with making customers happy. Hands down, can't beat their original recipes. Seen a lot of places try and copy however the original will always be the originla
Family and I loved everything about our recent experience. This has been my families gather spot since I was a kid and it's awesome to see the food has stayed the same. Authentic and tasty.
Went to location to have lunch with a friend. I had the burrito bowl off the lunch menu. The cost was $10.95 but when the bill came they charged $13.95 and refused to honor the lunch price. I was told because I ordered carne asada it was $3.00 more even though the menu said select your choice of meat. If carne asada was more expensive the waiter should have told me.
I can't tell you how disappointed we were with tonight and the waitress! Not only did she not tell us about the party of 30 ahead us, but I had to ask her about the wait after 25+ minutes(which was going to be an additional 20 minutes before they were going to start our food), but she forgot about one of the drink. When we told her we were leaving after 30+ minutes, she made sure to charge us for our drinks before we left. The worse thing about this is I promised my pregnant sister-in-law how good this place was! Sorry to be a Karen, but DAMN! And now I'm stuck in line at Del Taco...
Sold on the nachosespecial. The asada was really tender and juicy and honestly some of the best guacamole I've ever had. Make sure to save room for the deep fried ice cream. Completely stuffed
