Called over phone to place my order. They said it would take 10 minutes, so I arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes later and paid for my food. The food wasn't ready yet, so I had to wait. I ended up waiting an extra 30 minutes before I walked back up to the cashier and asked about my order. They looked confused and were looking at their other prepared orders before realizing my order had been sitting there and they had just never called my name. By the time I took the food home, which is a 3 minute drive, some of the food was already cold.
Great service and food! Be ready for a rush on Sunday for Menudo!
Food is always fresh. I love getting the chilaquiles and a couple of eggs on top for breakfast. Their burritos are huge in size and very good as well. Would recommend going here for some authentic Mexican food
Bomb. Almost everything I have tried is amazing. The chalupas are by far the best thing I have had here. The combo plates are well worth the money. Make sure you felt extra red sauce, it a mild spice but the flavor lingers. The are almost always busy (for good reason) so please be patient with the staff, they are always busting their butts.
They have the best Mexican food. Me & my family have been eating here for many years & I have to say they never disappoint. I highly recommend everyone try it you will not want to go anywhere else. All the employees are professional & friendly. Thank you for your outstanding service!

I wish I had thought to take pictures of the food before I posted this. This has become one of our top go to places for great Mexican food.
My family has been going to this place for (at least) 3 generations! I think it's impossible to claim any one establishment as the best Mexican food restaurant. However it's not a stretch to say that El Merendero puts out a quality of authentic (AMAZING TASTING) Mexican Food that few other restaurants can compete with! Hands down my favorite place to eat in the greater Inland Empire area (no one can beat the prices for the quality of food either!). They even have an incredible breakfast menu and open early enough to buy your lunch on the way to work!You won't regret trying them out!
Amazing Food!!! Fast Friendly Service!! Great outdoor patio. We got the $30 burrito which feeds 5 and nachos. Amazing dinner. Located right next to Pomona Fairplex
