This past Saturday 6/4/22 my family and I chose Mr V’s to celebrate my daughter’s high school graduation. Let me tell you, the service was excellent, we advised our server that our daughter had a peanut allergy and he informed the kitchen and they took extra care with her order. Our party was of 7 and everyone loved their food. My New York Strip was cooked perfectly, the baked potato and Mac and cheese was awesome too. We had brought in a cake to eat after our meal, which they were so nice to hold it for us, but we couldn’t eat one more bite so we just took it home for later. Food and service was spot on and will definitely be coming back. We have found our New favorite spot. Thank you everyone at Mr V’s for making my daughter’s high school graduation celebration an awesome time!
They make the best dirty martini. The food is awesome and Fran is amazing.
Superb as always! Excellent food and service!
Genuinely surprised in every good way possible! On a last min whim to go out for dinner, Husband and I made our way to Mr. V's. First timers. There's complimentary valet parking with a super sweet gentleman ready to park your car. We walked in to live music to the left and got seated (right away) to the right of the restaurant. Ambiance is that of a steak house. Dim, romantic lighting, to get you into the mood for the deliciousness you're about to enjoy. We ordered coconut shrimp and 1/2 an order of oysters. For entrées I ordered the steak and lobster (I forgot, there's a specific way Mr. V's calls it) with grilled asparagus and garlic mash. Hubby got the jambalaya on rice.A-MA-ZING!!! From start to finish! I mean them oysters were so fresh and flavorful, the coconut shrimped paired so perfectly with their signature tart sauce (which has pineapple!). My filet mignon was perfectly cooked to medium and I was caught off guard when I received not one very plump lobster tails BUT TWO very plump lobster tails ?.My husband said that it was the best jambalaya he's ever had on the west coast!I regret not taking pictures of everything but the memory lives on in my heart ?.Lastly I'll say the service was spectacular! Our glass of water never went below half ways and everyone was so very genuinely thoughtful which made this dinner one of my favorites!
Great atmosphere and very friendly staff - excellent chocolate martini
This place is top notch! Everything was so delicious. We had the aromatic shrimp as a starter. It was delectable. The shrimp were fresh and perfectly cooked. The sauce had the right amount of sweetness and tanginess. It was an outstanding dish. It's one of the signature dishes here as told to us by the waiter. I was looking for a baked potatoe for my dinner. I was pleased and surprised at the enormity of my spud. Perfectly baked with all the topping My baby back ribs were scrumptious and tender. I also had a whiskey sour with my dinner .....it gave me a serious buzz. I can't vouch for the meals of my son and husband, but they both agreed that the best thing they ate were the shrimp. My husband had the 10oz sirloin and my son had the asian style salmon which I sampled. It was yummy. Finally, we shared a turtle cheesecake for dessert on the recommendation of the waiter. It did not disappoint. Suffice to say there were lots of leftovers. Love their sourdough rolls too! I can't forget to mention the outstanding service by the wait staff! Everyone was on point.
Good food, fair prices. Had chicken skewers with salad and vegetables. Going back to try steak.
Excellent overall dining experience. Ask for Small Paul an excellent waiter! Highly recommend shrimp and their Martinis are Great.
Love coming to Mr.V's great vibe especially when they have live music on Sat night with a good dinner, my kind of spot.
When you arrive, the parking lot is small and crowded, but the valet is complimentary. They do not take reservations on Friday nights, but we arrived at 5:30 and were seated immediately. Things were busy by 6:30 and it looked like every seat was filled when we left at 7.The dining room is classy and we felt the high-end vibes immediately. Our server, Tamara, was clearly a veteran - perfectly professional, accommodating, and knowledgeable. I enjoyed an Old Fashioned, a Manhattan, and a Chocolate Martini, each delicious. The seared ahi appetizer presented well, but the texture was denser than expected, not sure why. The bread was soft and warm, but the crust was harder than expected. The butter was served in plastic to-go ramekins, which seemed unfitting, but not worth complaining about. My wife and I ordered a filet mignon and a ribeye respectively. Both were high quality and cooked perfectly. Two sides were included with the entrees, which was nice, since many upscale steakhouses and restaurants serve entrees ala cart. Everything was lightly seasoned, which I thought was perfect, but others may prefer to add salt. The Chocolate Lovers Cake was a rich and delicious way to end the meal. Overall, the taste and experience was well worth the pricetag. I am looking forward to our next visit.
