I love Public Square. Every single member of staff is friendly, knowledgeable and treats each customer as if we are the most important person in the room. The drinks are always on point, the bathroom stays clean, and they’re all so nice to my cat when I bring her. Thanks everyone!-Ames

Public Square is a really unique and fun coffee spot in downtown La Mesa. I love the aesthetic and vibe of the space, and the outdoor seating is really nice as well. They do concerts here sometimes too, which are always really fun! They make some mean iced lattes and they have a large selection of specialty concoctions.

I thought it was a quaint and upbeat coffee house. The staff was courteous and seemed to enjoy their work. Vibes were positive and everyone seemed to be relaxed and happy. ?

This....is....by...far the best drip coffee I have had here in the USA since I moved here about 20 years ago. Not bitter at all, pretty strong with a smooth finish. I am by no means an expert, but I always have my coffee black, so the taste is never "hidden" by creams or sweeteners, and this was excellent. The food is also very good, try the breakfast sandwich, but add an egg.Super friendly staff, almost like family.

Those scones are out of this world. Like super soft and amazing. I don't drink coffee but I enjoyed my fancy chocolate milk.

I went to this cafe on a whim with my baby sister as a "cooler older brother" thing. The vibe was just right, and the latte looked and tasted fantastic. I got a black sesame Latte and their coffee rubbed pork sandwich and let me tell you those two are heavenly. The latte was good, but the sandwich was even better. One of the best sandwiches I've had. If I had had more cash in my wallet I would have left a bigger tip. Good cafe all around, highly recommend. Me and my sister had a blast.

LA MESA , you got a gem of a coffee house ? . The ambiance , the coffee, the food and the wonderful staff ❤ .If ya'll haven't tried the scone yet, please do . Drip coffee was so dang good and I have no idea how ya'll keep the prices so low . Will be backFrom- Feel Good Fitness ???

Public Square in La Mesa is a complete GEM! The breakfast sandwich is amazing, and try the brown sugar cinnamon latte, is one of the best cups of coffee ever. The team here are always so kind and friendly, the vibe is always wonderful, lots of light and good music. Plenty of seating options for someone who wants to work, have brunch, or sit with a few friends. They also have a to go window, you can order online using their app and just pick up at the window if you’re anxious about being with others still :)

The reason why 2 stars is more towards the Manager/Lead Barista, waited 30+ minutes for my second order, made them aware of it politely and wanted a refund, I needed to go. He then proceeded to tell me at first I didn't pay, I showed my text receipt from my phone, he then tells me to step away, COVID I guess, I understand that, but I was masked in order to be Business respectful. Then after about a minute, finds that I did pay, then said to me, "why didn't I say something", told him "that is what I'm doing now", in essence, felt as if he was projecting the blame, very non apologetic, seems customer service lacks when they drop the ball, just take your Clover kiosk refund and leave, just left with a very non business savoy customer service experience.

I LOVE Public Square Coffee and it makes it into my 10 ten favorite places to visit in the world. The staff here are amazing and coming here feels like coming home. I am grateful for people like Alexis, often see in the register with awesome hair, who make it a point to make you feel seen and valued. This isn’t just a coffee shop this is a place where community is built.
