I unfortunately can't recommend Por Favor.Portion sizes were good but the food was bland bland bland. I'm talking "grandma is in from out of town and can't stand flavor" bland. Service was middling. At least I left full.
The five stars are for our server Manuel. He was the absolute best. So friendly and welcoming. Great service. We did have a long wait for drinks, and then for our to go order however we understand it was very busy and he was apologetic. For the manager, I give negative 10 stars. She stared us down at our table for a good 5 minutes. In real-time, that's an eternity! I really don't know what her problem was. I realize my husband forgot his wallet with ID in the car however we are 40 years old and obviously not under age. Also we were totally okay with not getting our margaritas and ordering something else. But, we were able to get two margaritas and 2 carnitas dinners to go. The carnitas were really good. The salsa needs a lot more spice. But we still enjoyed it. We won't be back though, unless that manager is gone. I can't tolerate people like her. I don't want to say she's racist, but that's the only conclusion I can draw.

The chips are good. The salsa, meh. The mai tail good. The cheese enchiladas boring. Fajitas too salty. Big chicken salad was so so... the beans are good. As far as mexican cuisine goes, this is average. We expect better here in San Diego. We are on the border. We know what good Mexican food is...Overpriced and not that great...The service was good though...
The Carne Asada burrito was huge and done to Perfection. The wait staff were super friendly and attentive.
