Perfect Kebab place. Nice and kind staff
For supporting Ukrian and peace, I decided to have a lunch at Ukrainian restaurant. I found The Kebab Shop by searching Ukrainian restaurant near La Jolla. Actually, it is a Mediterranean one instead of Ukrainian. Anyway, I am still against Russia's invasion.First of all, thumb up for the garlic yogurt and cilantro dipping which at the self-service table. Especially the cilantro one, not to strong smell but good taste.For the food, I ordered a box with extra beef. The portion was too small, I couldn't believe this box had already added extra and cost almost $18. The salad was good, especially with the cucumber was a good idea. The fries were also good, crispy, and not too hard.But the beef was horrible, it was thin and the texture made you think it's fake meat. The beef was too salt and too oily. Now I understand why the portion was that small, otherwise, it will be too salty to eat.The set was too small and I had to buy another one from the Padadak next door to feed myself.It's not worth to visit again.
I have been to this location at least 20 times and downtown about 4 times. I have never had any problems, or gotten the wrong order. 90% of the time my order is ready in 5-7 minutes maybe 1 or 2 times 10 minutes. Always good, always great service and friendly employees. One of my favorite new restaurants. Fresh and healthy.
Brandon and his co workers have always gone above and beyond in customer service and preparing the food. The place is always clean and even when its busy they still acknowlege you and make you feel welcome. Shout out the la jolla team they deserve a raise and all that good stuff
Mediocre and overall pretty disappointing. It was very lacking in flavor. Wish they seasoned their food better. The food isn’t authentic in my opinion, but I’m not sure that they claim to be authentic. I would like to specify that my review is just specific to my taste, and that I can absolutely see how other people might enjoy it! It isn’t bad, but it’s not for me. I personally don’t think I would return, and would stick to other restaurants like Amardeen or Mystic Grill that are nearby.
I ordered the carved chicken and meat wrap. The chicken wrap was alright but the carved meat was delicious. I would recommend to everyone to add fries to their wraps.
Waited for over an hour for 2 items while 1 guy worked all of the orders. One person during peak times on a weekend? This not the employee's fault, this is the restaurant's fault. They're making just as much profit while putting their employees in what seem like sweatshop conditions. No wonder people don't want to come back to work in restaurants. Hire more people or give some discounts/rebates.
Rice was a bit greasy for me. Didn't know that if you didn't order a salad there'd be 0 vegetables. Quick service though, and portions were decent
Amazing food! It came out super fast and was delicious. I really don’t ever regret stopping by for a quick luck!
Was excited to see Kebab Shop open in UTC. Very fast service, staff was very friendly, food was delicious. Appreciated having the sauce bar on the side where you can help yourself.
