Amazing sushi, great service! The most amazing thing is, my daughter left her retainer on her plate and they saved it for us for an hour! We will definitely be back!
Best sushi in La Jolla! Had an amazing time here with a large party celebrating a friend's wedding. Tried LJ Cove roll, Dragon roll, Dank roll, and our favorite was the Dirty Blonde. Amazing sushi! Will definitely visit again if we find ourselves in San Diego.
I had the spicy tuna and the dirty blonde. The spicy tuner was not that great, great, no spice and very little flavor otherwise. However, it was definitely very fresh. The dirty blonde on the other hand, was one of the best roles I've ever had in my life.. Service was good good. Based on talking with a couple of other people that have been there several times, I would definitely recommend going but I would focus focus on their specialty rolls. You will Be pleased I am sure.
Superb sushi. Our server Lucas was excellent, the rolls were wonderful including the Ultimate and the dirty blonde, and the salmon sashimi was fab.
Besides the wait time totally worth it! Sushi is my favorite food and I’m always willing to try new things. We had an aloha roll that came topped with macadamias and it was so delicious. Also had a dank roll and the name hits home once you have your first bite. We also had the beef gyoza which wasn’t too impressive. But the sushi is amazing. We also have a crispy rice roll and if you love crispy rice you will be in love with the roll. Loved the texture and flavors of everything.
I tried the Sweetie Pie Roll and was pleasantly surprised! It’s different from any sushi I’ve ever tried, and it’s now become my favorite. I love the fact that they have a separate section in the menu for the (many) vegan sushi options. I really recommend this place to vegans!
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. We were seated right away in their open air terrace and immediately enjoyed the youthful, exciting, and upbeat vibe of the place. Our waiter was charming and attentive, smiling and laughing with everyone and the rest of the staff were fun as well. The best surprise came when we all three ordered the sashimi platter individually, and they put it together into this one magnificent dish with incredibly fresh, diverse, and delicious fish! What a treat, it made out trip!
Delicious salmon sashimi, liked the tempura shrimp hand roll (comes with fake crab) and california with real crab- the ebi shumai was very small so I’d probably skip that next time
Extraordinary Sushi Place in La Jolla. Very innovative, great service, absolutely fresh fish and high quality dishes. Everything we ordered was simply delicious: Sashimi and Carpaccio (Hamachi, Salmon, Giant King Clam, Oysters), Sunomono w/ octopus & Scallops, Wagyu w/Truffle nigiri, and traditional rolls. Definitively will come back when in La Jolla. I recommend you try NeKoSan. They also prepare large dishes for your parties (decorated sushi and sashimi plates are exquisite).
