Excellent Greek food and menu selection. I haven’t had Greek lemon soup this good since I left Chicago in 2003. The flaming cheese and hummus plates weee excellent appetizers too.
This is a cute Mediterranean place right near the ocean. They have nice indoor and outdoor arrangements and the food is also delicious. Worth visiting this place for their falafel and fries.
Great food and even better service from the kinds folks who work there. Family friendly too! Great spot to stop at for yummy food + a day at the beach. Two thumbs up for the feta fries!
Staff is absolutely wonderful. But the food…it was only OKAY. Sorry, we got the lamb shank, lamb chops, chicken kabob and the beef/lamb gyro. We shared everything and we didn’t find anything bad…but nothing was great. Just okay. The gyro meat was dry and you could tell it was not freshly sliced off but probably something preheated. The pita bread tasted like it was from a grocery store. The lamb chop and lamb shank were just okay. If they improved the food here, it would easily get 5 stars given the staff is very attentive. Even locals told me not to come here and suggested something else but my father-in-law wanted Mediterranean.
My first time at Spiro's, very nice-looking restaurant, not fancy at all, quite good food, similar to what's offered at many other Greek restaurants in San Diego. Definitely a place I will return to.

Hungry one evening and following the advice of locals and my hankering for Greek food I ordered pickup from Spiro's. The location is beautiful with inviting seating outside and couple of tables inside too. Good tasting gyros with fries and a nice dip/sauce. Staff serving with a smile (extra point from Average). They accomodated my eating outside even though I ordered to-go. Great location near the Coves so worth stopping for a bite when your done enjoying that.
Had two platters and it was great! Felt like I was eating in Crete! Same great taste, and nice service.
It’s always delicious food
This is casual dining, order at the counter and the staff will deliver to your table. The portions were abundant and satisfying after a long day. It reminded me of the Greek diners from home. I enjoyed my Monday evening meal, I had the outdoor patio to myself. I ordered the traditional Avgolemono soup and the spanakopita platter. The soup was a meal of it own. The platter was overflowing with salad , fries and pita. All very good.
