DO NOT EAT HERE. Walk over to Whole Foods, cava, whatever. Pollock in the $12 fish burrito!? At that price cannot be pollock. Ok try a $12 steak burrito? Super small (see photo). Partner got a bowl…only half full with barely a half slice of avocado. For $25 walked away with half a meal between the 2 of us. Not to mention the inferior ingredients to its competition around.
Wonderful fish tacos and soo appreciated the great service and welcoming energy I received walking in 1 minute b4 close. There door wasn't closed early, they didn't lock door in my face or rush patrons out. They conducted their bussiness how I wished more bussiness would conduct themselves.Thanks again ya'll . someone broke up with me over the phone while i was picking up an order here. staff were nice about it, they didn’t ask questions or try to comfort me or anything which i very much appreciated. just handed me the food. made me feel human, which in the moment was very needed.
This place is great to eat at if you’re waiting for evening traffic to die down. Expect a long wait time during dinner rush, even on a Taco Tuesday.
I really enjoy their shrimp burrito and their chicken quesadilla! If you get the shrimp burrito, grab some tomatillo sauce to go with it. So good!! Always really quick service at this location. Rubios is great if you’re in a rush and need a quick bite or food to takeout for an outing.
They’re pretty expensive. I mean, almost $7 for a mahi taco. One man in particular is soooo stingy with his chips. If u get some while you wait don’t expect they’ll throw the ones in there with ur mean that u paid for. Unless u wanna to spend $2 for a handful. Chips should be free, esp when you’re paying a good amount. Super a turn off, annoying and just bad business. My friend and I will not be going back.

Love Rubio's!!! They are my favorite fish tacos. I recommend Rubio's to anyone that had never tried one of their fish tacos.
Quite possibly my favorite fast food place in all of San Diego. Best Mexican food and best of everything.
Decided to visit here during my family trip in June. The staff was friendly and everything was delicious! Definitely better than the Rubio’s location back home in Arizona!
