the pho here is pretty good, there’s a vegetarian option which is great. the spring rolls are also tasty! it’s a little bit pricey in my opinion but if you’re looking for a big portion of good comforting food, this is the place to go.
Spacious, convenient-located family style restaurant. The elderly staff here works really hard to run this place.
Let me say first that I live in Westminster so I’m used to really good Vietnamese food. I went with about 8 family members and everyone thought the food was a but pricey. It’s because the area is expensive and rent is expensive. Half of my family liked their dishes (pho was apparently good). The other half didn’t like their dish much (the bun and bun Bo hue weren’t as authentic as could be). But it was crowded and open late so I assume the locals like it since there aren’t many Vietnamese restaurant options in the area. It’s probably very tasty for La Jolla/San Diego.
Quite good, spring rolls are excellent but the seafood Pho did not have much seafood…
I have lived in the neighborhood for about a year now. This is literally the best pho within miles. It's always hot and made exactly how you order. The pho, spring and egg rolls are my favorite. The vermicelli dishes are amazing too. It's worth the price and they are always fast kind and friendly. I would recommend to go and or sitting at the restaurant. Thank you for the great food and service!
Go-to spot for Pho & Bahn Mi. Staff is always super friendly and give great service.I normally call ahead when picking up, but even when I don't sandwiches are normally ready in 10-15 minutes. For lunch or whenever I recommend the lemongrass chicken Bahn Mi. ??
Tried chicken pho for the first time, it was delicious! would definitely recommend this place to try out Vietnamese pho
Good for take out. Bad for dine in. Pricey but very good food.I was staying at the hotel next door and thought I would eschew the high price of room service and order Pho La Jolla instead. I ordered 6 egg rolls. Thats it. There were no prices on the menu. When I arrived and the price was over 16$. I gafawed. The nice man said they had to raise prices since "everything" (I assume covid). While I waited, I noted that there were four other tables seated and actively eating when they started putting chairs on the tables tops essentially booting out the customers a half hour before close. I also couldnt help but notice that Usher Yeah! was playing overhead. Nothing gets me in the mood for Vietnamese food like derogatory hip hop music. The food? Well, quite a surprise in a good way. The portions were generous and the egg rolls were homemade. They came with a bag of lettuce and mint to eat in true Vietnamese style. Points for that. All in all, I'd say get carry out if you can.Maybe if they weren't kicking people out of the restaurant, they would not have to raise prices because of everything?
Doesn't really taste like authentic Vietnamese food. Had pho and bun bo hue and the broths were not good nor did they use the right cut of meats. Had shrimp salad and they just used lettuce when they should be using lotus shoots or green papaya instead. Place is way overpriced too. Bowl of pho was almost $15 (should never be over $10) and 2 spring rolls were $8 as examples.
Great place to dine in. Affordable Vietnamese dishes and foods were satisfying. Must try their spicy beef pho. Service was great though you have to wait 10-15 minutes for the food to get on the table. Can be seated outside or inside depending on your choice. Covid safety measures were implemented wisely in this location.
