The entire staff in this restaurant is racist. They do not come to attend you to even ask you and to seat you. Even after I had pre-reserved and the restaurant was empty. The staff intentionally ignored us for 20 mins to symbolize that we are not welcome because of our ethnicity. Wish such people and places don't exist specially in the service industry where they are paid to serve the customers. Worst experience ever
Service was great. We had Andrew and he was very kind, attentive, and energetic. Best service I have had while in Sandiego.The food, however, was incredibly mediocre…. And that’s being generous because it wasn’t even decently priced. I paid $20+ dollars for a beyond burger that looked and tasted bland as hell. Now, to all you meat eaters, you might say that it’s difficult to make a beyond burger taste good. But I have had so many beyond burgers that tasted amazing. I’m not looking for the taste of a beef patty, I’m just looking for a good burger. In fact I can go to Burger King and get a much better beyond burger for half the price that I paid at this beach side, sit down restaurant. The patty itself was slightly below average, nothing to write home about, but I’m not too hung up about it. But the ingredients used to makeup the rest of the burger, such as the lettuce, onions, etc. looked like they were the leftover scraps thrown On the burger. I don’t have a photo but the onions were literally tiny little slivers of onion that looked like the outside peelings that you would throw away. And the lettuce was not even real lettuce. It was those gross green, purple, and red leaves that go in the salad your aunt brings to the potluck that no one touches. The whole burger just felt like it was thrown together without a damn care. And you might say that I’m overreacting, but I paid over $20 for this burger!!! I would at least expect that they put more care into it than a drive through fast food restaurant would!!! My friends enjoyed there food so that’s good, but if you are vegetarian, don’t bother ordering the beyond burger because it’s a serious let down :(
food and service were great!! we ordered a cous cous salad, olive & basil pasta, kebab, a chicken chipotle wrap... everything was so good
This place is phenomenal and has a great view of the ocean as well to compliment it. Staff was really friendly and the place had a nice feel of it. We got the falafel wrap and the bro burger. I enjoyed the Hummus trio. I also got the beef kabob and it was perfect. Lastly we shared the Baklava cheesecake and it was really delicious too. This is the type of place where you can order anything and it will be amazing.
Views were great. We had a large group but for the total number of tables in the entire restaurant (about 8 at most), the service was under par. Took a long time for drinks to arrive. Food was pretty bland. Theyâre liquor is diluted and not worth paying for.
We ordered:-Hummus TrioPesto Hummus was my favorite or the three, bread was soft and delicious!!-Beef Kebab PlateMeat was super tender, could cut with a butter knife, greatly enjoyed the vegetable variety and freshness!-Gyros PlateTender meat with good seasoning, soft vegetables cooked to perfection, rice was not sticky or hard! Perfect presentation.-Falafel Add onVery crispy and tender! Good flavor that you didn't need sauce for (def paired great with the Hummus)-Two ChardonnaysCan't go wrong with white wine on a gorgeous day!!We will definitely be back, especially to try the dessert. My 3rd visit, I highly recommend Olive and Basil, food, service, and view are great.
Service wasn't great, the waiter came once and then disappeared, we couldn't order more stuff, or change anything on our order until he came with the food. They served us a Mediterranean platter with hummus and NO PITA. The food wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about. Not what I expected.
View is great. Ask for the corner table looking out if itâs available. Parking in this area is CRAZY! Park far away and walk to the area. Salad & pasta were good. Taco trio needs to be served on a larger plate, getting one off the plate without making a mess is impossible. Server was good but over worked as she was the only one working tables when we were initially sat.
Perfect views. Food was pretty good but not great.
