Loved this place! The food was great and there was a good selection of specialty sushi rolls to choose from.
Pink Panda roll was amazing, and the samurai roll! The shrimp tempura was good! But I have had better! But still definitely good! This is a great place to eat if you donot want to travel too far off campus!
While staying at the Marriott next door, we decided to walk over and try Nozomi and were pleasantly surprised! The food was outstanding! In fact better than anywhere we’ve been! Not over salted or covered up with “secret” sauces, but just right. The servers were attentive and very polite. We met the owner (or manager?) and he was especially gracious. Excellent!
Fresh fresh, but I hope they get more clients. It’s in a shopping center that might be preventing them from reaching their highest potential. I would go back for the protein roll
Love this place. Been coming here for just over 10 years and the dynamite roll is still one of my favorite rolls I’ve had from any sushi place. It’s a bit more expensive than other sushi places so I usually come here for an occasion like friends visiting from out of town or if I’m celebrating something but it is so worth the money every time!
This skimpy, kinda gross ramen cost 14$.-It comes with one small chunk of pork. Most ramen places put 2 long slices.-When I went to pick it up I asked if they could also provide spicy sauce on the side, and they said it cost 1$ ?-the broth was mostly flavorless, but the aftertaste kind of reminded me of collagen and grossed me out.The smell in the restaurant was also not inviting. There are *way* better spots for ramen ? in SD.
This is my family's go-to sushi restaurant. We love the riceless options and the option for brown rice substitute. The service is always quick and friendly and the staff is knowledgeable and provides excellent recommendations. The ambiance is lovely with outdoor seating and heating. We recently met the chef who introduced a couple of items from the specials menu and they were absolutely phenomenal.
The best sushi! We love Nozomi so much. My favorite is the Super Crunch Roll. Great enclosed outdoor patio as well.
Fun business dinner with attentive service and a broad selection of Japanese dishes (both hot and cold). The drink selection was pretty decent, too, with Sapporo on draft. Yay! Nigiri was so so: While the fish quality was excellent, it was clear that there sushi was made in a rush by a non expert. The rice crumbled every time and well, it was a mess. Also, not sure why there were oranges on the plate... Too bad. If I am in the area, I will go back because it is conveniently located next to the Marriott. However, I would not travel far for this place.
Being near the coast we were hoping it would be better, but was very average. Service was fine. They have beer and wine, but no liquor.
