Yes. Random stop on the way home since it had good reviews. I was not disappointed. They were kind, friendly, and accommodating. The spicy salmon was actually spicy! I was so excited! I could drink the strawberry sake endlessly. If I could say that anything could be better, my roll could have been wrapped a little tighter, but it was a minor inconvenience. I'd eat here every day if I could. Yum!

Underwhelming experience. Terrible food, tasteless and the sushi was put together by poorly trained chefs. Half the items ordered fell apart and the quality of the fish was poor. Don't waste your time at this place.

My fiancé and I sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed a delicious meal. The service was very friendly, the food was timely and there were many vegetarian options for myself. The sushi chef's even asked, while preparing countless orders, how our meal was and if there was anything else we needed. Highly recommend this quaint restaurant.

Simply excellent ... Really surprising given it's nondescript strip mall location. Wonderfully fresh nigiri, well made sushi rice, decent portion sizes, a diverse menu and comparable pricing make this sushi spot worth coming back to. It's actually the first sushi spot in the La Jolla area that I've enjoyed from start to finish.

Was craving japanese rice and curry and didn't wanna make the trek from La Jolla down to Convoy. Luckily this place exists closer to UCSD and an easy combination trip to CVS or WholeFoods to get dinner and chores done for a busy week day or errand run.Despite being known for their sushi, I forgot to order it and got their rice dishes instead. Still worth it. The curry was exactly what I was searching for to warm my soul.

Sushi is usually really great from my experience, but I’m disappointed to learn that they stop serving at 9 pm. I tried to go in tonight at 9pm and was looking forward to getting a quick salmon roll to go, but got turned away. Was very sad because I don’t live on that side of town anymore, so was really looking forward to it.

Coming from Georgia, this place was some of the best sushi we ever had. All 4 rolls we had were amazing. They definitely know how to cook their rice!

Great Food!! Spicy Tuna Roll was Excellent. Size Portion and Consistancy Was On Point. Cucumber Salas was Refreshing. The Tonkatsu Noodles and Broth Were Delicious. Recomended ?

Gave them a chance but it was a disappointing meal overall. From the service to the food, we were expecting much better since they just reopened, but we were not impressed. The rice could be tastier, especially in nigiri. Tried one flavored sake as well, it was ok, the small cup was only filled right below half though.

Spent 40 minutes waiting for the food I ordered only to be told that the kitchen had no time they could provide me for my food to be done, as in we were expected to wait indefinitely. The server did not communicate that the kitchen was backed up, which would have been totally understandable, so we did not know until nearly 1 hour had passed that we could have just ordered from the sushi bar for a fast turnaround. The manager also sent two workers to a table that was upset because their food took too long, and refused to speak to them directly. As far as the food, overpriced for the quality, waste of time.EDIT: post "owner" response. As you can tell based on the owners' response they are a coward with poor business integrity. They are admitting they sent workers to talk to customers instead of facing the customers themselves. No wonder they have such high turnover. They suck. Any responsible owner would have apologized directly to their customer, this owner never did, never even offered a discount, until their customer refused to pay full price.
