Service was horrible asked for a margarita flight and they said it wasn’t available than the table next to us order one and they seem to be served it all of a sudden the decorations are beautiful but that’s was it ordered the ceviche and WE had to ask for tostadas because they did not bring it came all the way from LA don’t waste your gas on this place!!!!
Had chips and salsa on the side ordered fish tacos with beans and rice and a mango margarita. Menu is kind if small. Food was a bit spicy but still good.
Wow my coworker and I decided to stop here on a whim while we were in la Jolla for work. This particular location has seen many a restaurant including a chipotle and Thai joint. Upon entering was blown away by the decor and the ambience. Lot of love and hard work spent on this restaurant. I ordered a fish taco ,bacon wrapped taco and rice and beans. The rice and beans were so good. Mind you not the usual tomato sauce style but more of a chicken broth flavor that was so delicious. The beans were just right, not glistening with lard but just the right amount and flavor was so good. I could have just had rice and beans and would have been happy. The fish taco had excellent texture and batter. Both tacos were damn good and my partner had the poke and she was blown away. Please do yourself a favor and hit this joint...fyi it's not a burrito shop it's def more of an upscale mariscos, etc place with an amazing bar. We def will be back because I want a margarita next time!! Bravo Karina's!
Fun happy hour. Rajas and Carnitas tacos are great. Ceviche is almost always great. Margaritas could use just a pinch more tequila ;-)
Absolutely some of the freshest and best ceviche, salsa and margaritas I've ever had. If you're in La Jolla, do not hesitate to go. Chips and salsa, lobster taco, shrimp cocktail and watermelon margarita.
Pretty cool spot that lends itself to hanging out.Atmosphere is great! Nice outdoor patio, lots of seating space.Drinks were pretty good too. My whole group got the $10 margaritas (menu was already obsolete). They also did have a full bar and some singsture cocktails.Food was where a point gets taken off. It was decent, but had some flaws. Carne asada fries had a good piece of meat, but the fries were a bit undercooked and the cheese was not melted. The guac was good. The chips and salsa was an okay sized portion, but the salsa tasted mostly of tomato - not much in spice or other flavor.Overall, this was an awesome place to hang out and get a drink. But the food was very bar / pub quality.
Everything from the decor to the food was incredible. We happened to go during daily happy hour and the 3 dollar tacos were the best deal we had our whole trip. Tried the carnitas, poblano, and baja. All must have!! The calamari was hands down one of the best I've had with a delicious sauce. The margaritas were tasty and strong. Thank you so much to the staff for a beautiful experience❤
This cozy place is about a 15 minute stroll fr the beach and it is wonderful!! Loved the shrimp, tasted very fresh!
Fresh Seafood served with friendly and local feel. Highly recommended
As much as i wanted to love this place i can only give it a 3 stars for the amazing food. However customer service is poor especially considering this place is in La Jolla. Also we didn't get napkins or individual plates for our agua chiles. Lastly asking for tostadas was an extra charge for some reason where every other place gives you tostadas with your agua chiles.
