Super kind staff and good quality meat! It’s nice to be able to support a small local business. I recommend ordering it to go

I love this place. I’ve been going here since my daughter was in kindergarten at Doyle, now she’s a Junior at UCSD, and I still go here! The food is always fresh and tasty. I absolutely love the owner, he’s super old school, and he doesn’t have Apple Pay ?. He makes sure things are done right with every plate that goes out. I get all three rices on my plate, and extra feta on my salad. I always ask for the red seasoning on top, but I never remember what it’s called. Try this place, you’ll love it!

Good food, reasonable with California standards . Good place to get your Persian kabob. I specially recommend the Persian ice cream and faloodeh. The owners have been in business for 27 years!!!

I came back to this fantastic, homy and friendly place after 3 years of missing it. I used to dine here every week for several years. Absolutely best food quality, balanced and fresh meal. The owners are lovely and hard working. I wish I could pack them all and take them with me.

Always excellent Kabobs & Stew, among other Persian foods. Hidden Gem, but worth the effort to find and enjoy!!! Call ahead to order for Pick Up or if pressed for time. Everything is Grilled/Cooked to order, about 30 min for Kabob plates. Family run & friendly. You’ll be back again and again because it’s so good, ENJOY!!!

I literally come here 2-3 a week. Owners are very sweet and attentive. Food is delicious, meat is flavorful, salads are fresh. Can’t get enough!

Very sweet old man runs this authentic Persian/Iranian place. Made very fresh and right in front of you. Will be back for a third and more times and highly recommended. Call ahead as he will make ahead of time and no need to wait :)

We were served by the sweetest old man who runs this market and grill. The house and filet kabobs were moist and flavorful. If you want the special of the day come early.

Their house kabob sandwiches ? is great. worth trying

I just called to pick up the Tuesday special, a pomegranate chicken stew. I was too late. Will call and reserve earlier next Tuesday. I like this restaurant for three reasons: 1. The food is excellent...very fresh and plain delicious. 2. The owner-chef couple are delightful. They put heart and soul into their business. I understand they've been at this restaurant for many, many years. I only moved to the area about a year ago. 3. I feel welcome and appreciated when I dine in or pick up food to go. It's a "homey" place. Don't expect anything fancy here. It's a tiny restaurant with 2-3 outdoor tables. Expect simple, good Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food cooked and served with pride and "heart".
