Nice vegan spot close to the La Jolla shore. Outdoor and indoor seating available, with an ocean view from the patio. Plenty of street parking nearby. We got the chilaquiles from the brunch menu and the heirloom tomato flatbread from the regular menu. The flatbread was excellent especially the bread. The chilaquiles were a little too soggy for my taste but otherwise fine. Would visit again
Absolutely love this place! The food, the view of the cove, the vibe, the staff and the overall ambience and aesthetic is amazing!I’m definitely an omnivore but seriously think that their plant-based food is better than any vegan or non vegan restaurants in the area!I highly recommend grabbing brunch or lunch any day of the week! They also do fun things like bingo nights on Fridays and a bottomless Mamosa DJ brunch on Sunday. Not to mention, brunch is served all day Friday through Sunday. Their breakfast wrap and breakfast sandwich and chilaquiles are seriously insane!!!
Was super excited to try out this place by seeing some pro and con comments about this place. Unfortunately my son got sick from this place. Almost half way thru his food he just threw up. He ordered a kids quesadilla with beans. We always eat vegan cheese at home but unfortunately my son did not do well with whatever cheese they use for that meal. Right after that happened I asked for a rag to help clean up but I feel disappointed that they didn't ask if my son was ok or if we needed anything. Customer service from that situation was handled poorly. Not sure what had happened but I hope that the next time a situation like this arises, please take care of your customer's. Also I hope that everyone there is up to date on their food handlers card and abides by the info they teach you.
The chickpea salad, potato salad, and gelato are the best.
They serve brunch not just on weekends but on Fridays too! We took a day off on Friday to enjoy La Jolla with less crowd. Came across this place. They have outside seating with nice view. Nice and friendly staff. Wife got Philly cheese steak, and I got a breakfast sandwich in a soft pretzel bun. They both tasted delicious. Considering how expensive the other restaurants are in the area this is the best bang for the buck, and it is plant based!
Amazing! They are doing business the way it should be done. A La Jolla mainstay! The Service is wonderful- very very friendly servers and the food is delectable. Try the cheesesteak- best I have had in California so far (and vegan for my lactose intolerant partner)!!! The coffee/espresso and desserts look fabulous and I will try next time! Very pretty and cozy setting and there was even a live performer playing the bongos outside. It is CLEAN- even the bathroom was spotless. Prices are on the higher side but worth it for the service and setting. TRY IT!!! Very Instagram worthy heheh ;)
The outdoor seating here overlooks the ocean (above where Girard goes down to Coast Boulevard) which makes it an ideal place to have an outdoor lunch on a nice day. I stopped by on a bike ride and had an unbelievably delicious "chickpea sandwich" on toast, which tasted a lot like an egg salad sandwich, but better. Perfect, polite service, too. I'll go back soon, for sure.
The food here is amazing. The vibe is really chill and staff is friendly. I’d recommended for those who aren’t even vegan as well (yes it’s that good).Definitely will be back anytime I’m in the area. Yes it’s pricey but when factoring in the quality of food, beach views, and vibes it’s completely worth it. 10/10
Absolutely love their menu and space. The food is seriously delicious! They have a view of the ocean from their front patio and the inside space is trendy too with a moss wall, rattan chairs, marble counters etc. super friendly staff. I'm a fan now for sure!
Pricey but...Veggie sandwich is worth a try, potato salad excellent, smoothie was nothing special. The owner/manager isn't very friendly (she probably should stay away from the customers) but the atmosphere and staff make it a better experience. Free Country - masking position but support China with their dinnerware. Give it a try!
