The location of the cove house is amazing, right up the hill from the cove beach. They have bar stool seating in the main restaurant which was really casual and nice. I got the fish tacos and they were amazing! It’s definitely worth stopping by on the way to or from the cove!

Stumbled onto this on way back from beach (partly because on main road) and were super happy to sit outside, have some great food (the salsa verde shrimp were awesome as was the burger) and a beer and just enjoy the afternoon in a very beachy vibe with smiles on almost everyone's face.

Relaxed open air bar and restaurant with a "locals" feel. Great food, service atmosphere and prices!

Nice cozy restaurant located in la Jolla cove, San Diego. Indoor and outdoor seating, with a great view. We had a tasty delicious breakfast with great mix of ingredients, balanced taste. Good and friendly service. Mid price. Highly recommended

Great location and our table on the patio has a very good view. We ordered sashimi tacos and grilled fish tacos. They both tasted good. HOWEVER, even though the menu states both are gluten free and we confirmed with our server when we placed the orders, the chips came with the tacos were looked like and tasted like wheat flour pita chips. We are not super sensitive to gluten and it tasted very good, so we went with it.

3.0⭐️The location is awesome cool place in the middle of La Jolla. Great view. I expected a better quality food . The shrimp sandwich was a flop. Not very flavorful and shrimp were undersized for the size of the bun. Criss-cut fries were delicious so was the beer.

It was an ok spot to grab a bite and a drink. The food was unsalted or seasoned otherwise. And 3 of the 4 eggs were hard boiled anyhow. Quality of ham was also cheap. What upset me the most of the place is the lack of logic and business practice from their staff members. As you can see in my photos, I ordered the ocean air and it was $13 on the menu. When I first ordered the drink, the bartender informed me they are out of grey goose pear. The girl there then told me she can do it with regular goose since they were out of peach. I said sure and, at the end of my meal, she shows a receipt charging me $2 more for the drink. I brought it up and she then explained to me that the regular grey goose is more expensive to buy so she charged me more for it. Further, the also never informed me of the additional charge beforehand. So basically, she was out of the advertised item in the drink and offered to make it a different way with a similar item and of the same brand. Again, she claims grey goose unflavored is more expensive than flavored versions which warranted the charge. So how much did she save herself on that one drink? Less than a dollar? I know it’s only $2 but it’s really just bad business practice to nickel and dime your customers like that.

Every once in a while in the world of bartending you meet some special. Rachel is that special bartender. Amazing presence with guests. Attentive. Knowledgeable. Cove burger...awesome. ice cold tap beer. Ask about their tequila selection...you just might learn something. 10/10...I'll be back.

Such a good place for Happy Hour drinks. I can’t believe you can still find this price drinks in this area. And drink’s quality is nice too, they are not those cheap drinks contain more than half of water in it. If you are around here, you can stop by and have some adult juices~~Plus their foods look good as well, maybe next time we will try it out.

Great food!! BEST fish tacos, great service, very friendly!!
