Instead of getting a pizza from Costco, consider swinging by American Pizza Manufacturing and take home a fresh pie made to order. These guys rock, they don’t make your take home and bake pizza until you order it. You can phone in, use their webpage or just walk in and they will greet you and make you feel at home while you wait for your pizza to be made. Their pizza is delicious, we have tried almost every one and we love them all. Just set your oven to 425 and cook for about 10 minutes and you are done. Nothing better than a fresh hot pizza out of the oven. They have classics like pepperoni and Margherita but they also have some signature dishes which use top quality ingredients including caramelized onions, prosciutto, burrata and Italian sausage. Their pasta dishes are also awesome, we love the lasagna and macaroni and cheese. We always get a salad, our favorite is a palm desert, with candied walnuts and grapefruit slices along with Gorgonzola, delicious!
I went to APM for the first time this afternoon and I was extremely impressed!! The owners, Andrew and Lori, made us feel like we were family. The design of the place is cool and clean. While we were there, my kid ate an entire pint of their vanilla bean ice cream. (It’s so good!!) We sat outside and had a drink while lounging on the rocking chairs as they handmade our our salads and pizzas. The food was fresh and delicious! I highly recommend this place!! I don’t write reviews often but this place was worth the time and effort. Go there. You won’t be disappointed!
What a great pizza and the dough is fantastic! We had the Hallmark and it was really easy, tasty and cooked up to perfection. We had a meat lover here so I cooked up some sausage and he topped the pizza with that. Owners are wonderful and helpful. Will absolutely order again....whenever we want a great at home pizza!
Love love love this place! Nicest owners, super clean, always quick and great take and bake options! Their cauliflower crust pizza is my absolute FAVE gluten free option and their ranch is to die for! Easy quick dinner option or crowd pleaser when hosting a last minute visit with friends!
When I walked in to pick up my pizza. I was immediately welcomed with excellent customer service. The owner personally handed me the pizza and gave me a detailed explanation. You can hear the passion and care in his voice, and it makes supporting local business enjoyable. The pizza itself is fantastic, and you can tell the ingredients used are fresh! Would highly recommend!
The pizza is delicious, the staff are super friendly, and the place is so clean! I love that the pizza comes on parchment paper (clean oven) and has cardboard to pull it out of the oven (no dirty dishes at home!!!). Definitely the best takeout pizza place around!
We have lived in Bird Rock La Jolla for more than 30-years and what a terrific addition to the Community, American Pizza Manufacturing is! Not only is there Pizza wonderful, with the freshest & highest quality ingredients, they are wonderfully nice. Do yourself a favor and frequent American Pizza Manufacturing!!

We live at Windansea and have been meaning to try this place for a while now! So glad we finally went :). The customer service was outstanding! Lori (hopefully I remembered her name correctly) took the time to genuinely greet and meet us as customers. We were given some complementary wine while we waited for our pizza to be created for us. We ordered The Flyer and a Caesar salad. The pizza was easy to cook at home (very detailed instructions) and everything tasted amazing. We will be back! ( we ate the food so fast, I forgot to take pics haha)
Voted best new restaurant of La Jolla, it’s a take and bake at home concept. The pizzas and drinks are awesome. Must try the rose with a hallmark pizza. Great location and a walkable area near the beach.
