I went to Ruby Red's on Father's Day and experienced very poor service, along with a lack of entrées. They were extremely busy and unable to cope with the large influx of customers. I waited over 40 minutes for an order only to be told that they no longer had the food that was ordered. Someone should have known in advance that their food supply was being depleted and stopped taking orders. I asked for a refund, waited another 10 minutes and had to ask again. They didn't know how to refund my credit card so refunded with cash. Training in basic restaurant operations is needed here.
It is a very nice place to eat , BBQ and really tasty sandwiches, affordable, and the staff are very courteous and polite , I like the fact that their service is really great... I highly recommend it.
I decided to write a review because I had read a lot of reviews saying the staff and service wasn’t good and it took way to long to get food and the food was cold or dry and not good. This detoured me from trying this place for a long time. BUT I have to say I didn’t experience any of that! The food was fresh and so tender. The brisket and pork ribs were amazing! Definitely authentic BBQ. The price is on the higher end but comparable to all other BBQ places. And the staff, well the staff was very knowledgeable AND very sweet. We had a fairly large order and were in and out in about 15 mins. I honestly have no complaints. The BBQ sauce was on the unique side ? but all and all we will definitely be back.
Overall, it's okay. Nothing to brag home about. My brisket was cold and dry when I got it. So that's already a bad mark. The bbq sauces were ok too.The coleslaw was delicious.The Mac and cheese had great flavor, but the texture felt gritty(?). I don't know how to describe it, but it wasn't creamy/cheesy/oozy enough. Felt more like scooping a chunk of solid Mac and cheese instead of scooping a gooey glob.Has the flavor, but room for improvement.The staff is super cool and kind. Kinda regret not getting a sandwich. I think I would have enjoyed that more.The outside dining area is really nice too.
Whoa! The atmosphere and experience exceeded my expectations. The Brisket and Ribs were extraordinary and we loved the cream corn. We tried several of the menu items including a lemon blueberry cookie that did not disappoint. Thanks for a great meal and a good memory in Orange County.

Great BBQ !! We loving coming here. The food is awesome and I love all the hats on the wall. If you’re an Ambassador they even ring the bell for you. Lots of fun!!

We absolutely Love this place. I have to say first visit was complete surprise. I hadn’t seen or heard of Ruby Reds. Ordering was different then any restaurant I’ve been to. Had some samples, placed my order and paid to the second person. Food was brought to table. We loved what we ordered. Came back second time with son… we continue to tell everyone about our new favorite place. Today we decided to call in place order before the game. The actual owner answered his person phone. He stated he get 100 calls a day and for first couple months he wants to connect with customers. I was extremely impressed and had to give my review. If this doesn’t tell you anything about the service and commitment. Great food and service is not common anymore… ❤️❤️❤️
