The new chef ruined the menu. The fried pickles which were unique to Umami Burger is gone, the one and only Jalapeño sauce which gave an amazing flavor to appetizers is out of menu. The truffle burger which was juicy and melting in your mouth is no longer like that. Not gonna get Umami again because the menu got messed up!!!! Was a regular customer. Bring back the old chef and menu!!!!!!

Son recommended this place because he know I love a great burger place, he wasn’t wrong. We both had the Black Garlic Burger, Tots with three cheese stuffed inside and parmesan sprinkled on the outside. Had the Garlic Fries, Sweet Potato and one other. Adrian was our server and made some great recommendations. They make an amazing Bloody Mary here as well. Quick and friendly service and lots of room for everyone.

Burgers were less than average. The cheese was not melted when served and tasted cold. The service was barely there we waited until someone finally came up and told us to scan the code to get served. It was not worth the cost.

Umami is back! I tried their Bacon Ranch Burger and it was a great smash burger with the bacon smashed into the patty as well. Alvin must've had the change their buns too and they are much better. Really squishy simple buns that perfectly soak up the juices and sauces within. Great bite. The location here was REALLY slow for a Thursday at Spectrum, but I wasn't complaining since service was still great. I think the fries portion has increased. Not by a ton, but enough to notice.

The food was great I got the K-Town burger with the pastrami loaded fries. My friend got the patty melt and he really enjoyed it as well.

We were served by John the bar tender, a very nice guy. Very helpful and pleasant. And chatty. We have a cafe in Spain so we know a friendly waiter/host makes the establishment enjoyable. And the Impossible burger was good and cheap. We will be going back again before we leave Irvine.

The food is great and our servers are awesome everytime! Shoutout to Brian and the kitchen staff who makes us feel special when he brings out our order (sorry I didn't get your name). We got the korean burger, sunnyside burger, lettuce wrapped truffle burger, and truffle fries. (I hope I got that right >_<).I took down a star because the truffle fries are no longer what they used to be (shoestring fries packed with more truffle flavor doused in white cheese and chives).Wish they could bring that back and this place would be solid for all of us again. We didn't go here for a while grieving the loss of them fries, and overall just no longer come here as often as we would like. But that could be for the best for our diets anyways so ✌

Onion rings were homemade with Tempura batter which was amazing! It could’ve been a little less greasy but other than that it was absolutely good

The check from the last table was stuck on the QR code and our server didn't help us so we had to switch tables on our own, couldn't see anything at night at all with their god awful "mood-lighting", waited 20 minutes for our food that came out cold when we were the only people there who was waiting for an order, and my cold $9 burger didn't even fill me up. Absolutely embarrassing waste of money. Would not recommend and not coming back.

I bought the Sunny-side burger from Umami Burger. This burger includes a sunny side egg, bacon, a beef patty, tomatoes, lettuce, and some sauce which I forgot. Everything about the burger was perfect, it was cooked medium-medium well, the best thing about the burger was the egg. The egg gave the burger so much flavor, it made the burger way more enjoying. The fries were amazing and the servers were very kind. All in all, this restaurant was a good experience.
