This is such a great restaurant. Every dish is just excellent. Shanghai pan-fried rice cake, Shanghai Xiao Long Bao, green onion pancake, salt & pepper pork chop, lamb in cumin sauce, eel with chinese chives, Ma Po Tofu, etc, etc. Such a great selection & super tasty. Cleary 5 stars im my opinion! I really completely don't understand why some people complain in their reviews. I highly recommend this restaurant!
The food here is really good. We've ordered takeout a few times and can't seem to get enough. We usually get the chicken and shrimp chowmein with grilled pork buns. There was more than enough food for two and we still had leftovers. Definitely a good spot to go to for dinner.
As a connoisseur of handmade dumplings. I think this is best place for freshly handmade dumplings in Irvine. Their pork and chive steamed dumplings are my favorite. One bite of chive pork dumpling, you will experience heaven, there God will greet you "Ni hao ma? Wo de haizi". (Dip them in vinegar, add a bit of hot sauce if you like) Go there early, during late lunch hours sometimes they run out of stuffing. Grilled pork bun is popular but, I eat them after about three hours to have flavor infuse to all parts of the bun. Many of the customers are gray-haired and speaks the language of origin of dumplings. That is a good sign. Kitchen staff and wait staff are shouting like they are having arguments but, assure you they are not. ?? That is also a good sign.Wish they serve beer (Tsingtao) and sliced pig ears. Also, if possible, seaweed egg flower dumpling(tiny) soup. Can't travel to China due to a Pandemic, this is the best alternative to eating dumplings in east coast cities of China. Their noodle dishes are very good as well.Go there during weekdays for a relaxed dining experience, the weekend is busy. Don’t forget to ask for hot tea(free) and enjoy with dumplings, take your time, enjoy life!
Tons of free parking, easy to find. Food and teas are delicious! They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from and everything was great. The hot and sour soup is definitely more hot than sour, but still flavorful. Onion pancake was probably the best I've ever had, perfectly crispy and flaky. Xiao long bao was super juicy and flavorful. Veggie fried rice was one of my favorites, chow mein could use less oil. Don't expect any frills with the servers, they are there to write your order down and get your items out only. They're not rude though, just very direct/efficient, which I can appreciate. Will def be back

Maybe I ordered the wrong things here. I was very disappointed with the chicken noodles. I feel I received less and an oz of chicken in my noodles and they didn't taste all that great ether. The side of white rice was more satisfying than the main course.
The Dan Dan noodles and pork buns are out of this world! I used to travel to Shanghai often and this place rivals some of the best Shanghai restaurants.
Very good place to try noodle soup. I will go again to taster their dry pot. They have a huge menu to choose from.
The food was amazing ? The staff were wonderful and helpful even though we went during the lunch rush. The soup dumplings and the Shanghai buns were delicious.
Good food and great service as always!?
