We had a phenomenal server and the decor was fantastic! But definitely mediocre food. Every single dish that we ordered was a recommended dish. We tried the mushroom salad, which was only OK. We had the deluxe bento, which is nothing special. And we also had the chirashi don, which was good, but more rice than anything else.I usually give top-notch reviews and I’m generally very positive.
Our go-to place for quick and delicious Japanese food in a slightly more upscale environmemt. The karaage chicken is one of our favorites!
This place has amazing sushi and excellent service. The prices was a little high but the food was incredible.
I loved the ambiance and the food, and the waitress and hostess were cool too. I would give this place more of a 4.5/5 because the bathroom was a little weird due to the soap bottle, but I'm not there to eat in the bathroom. This place was a great pick and is especially good for a date or a night out with a small party. Sushi was priced fairly and came with generous portion sizes while being flavorful. The udon was great, although it is not the best that I have had (but that is a matter of personal preference). I very much enjoyed my lunch and am eager to come back.
Very enjoyable atmosphere and good quality food. Though pricey, they do offer options that are economical and very tasty. Service was good, but this is to be expected.A side comment which is not necessarily a problem of the restaurant is the tipping system. I am a foreigner and over the years, I see this system becoming more of a problem. I was presented with a bill of around 200$, with various tipping options starting at 18%. I choose to give an 18% tip. It was not a punishment. It's just that I believe that 18% is a good tip anywhere in the world. In my opinion, this system leads to undue tensions. I am already paying a bill that is not cheap, but the employee goes to the extreme to show insatisfacción for an 18% tip. Employees, get organized, request better pay for your work from your employers, but don't require the paying customer to increase the expense of something that is already expensive. Customers, wake up! This is not right! When you accept this system the dish that you order for 20, actually goes for 24. And guess whose pockets are being engrossed? Not the employee's and certainly not mine.
The food is pretty good and the way they serve the food is beautiful and elegant. The people who work there have manners and its overall a good resterhaunt!
As I am Japanese, this place has good Japanese food and I really enjoy it with my friend:) I can’t remember the name of the rolls in the middle of the photo but it is my favourite menu there.
We were very disappointed… It’s impossible to eat meat like this:( Beef don at the picture. We tried bento boxes too - not good at all.I don’t recommend this place
My favorite sushi restaurante in Irvine! I been coming here for a couple of years and they never disappoint! Their rolls are fantastic and always fresh. Great service from Kelvin!!
My boyfriend and I dined here earlier tonight to see how the place is, very excited and intrigued. He ordered the Beef Don, and this is what he got. Shaved fatty mystery meat... absolutely disappointed. I however ordered the Naruto and was very satisfied. We wont be coming here again though. Still curious as to what meat that was!
