The dumplings and soup were ok But the surroundings are not too pleasant. Maybe take out would be a good idea.
Went to shopping center to get some Vietnamese food but was very crowded. Saw Paper Lantern and I really like dumplings. They had some good lunch specials.... but the flavors seemed to be way off disgusting in some of the items. Dumplings were over cooked with meat filling hard like a rock. Noodles... never again this restaurant, just nasty terrible. Staff was not very attendant and took too long for a glass of water with one other couple in establishment for lunch! Now I know why. Choose another restaurant for your meals.
Love this little dumpling place! It’s located in a quaint, Asian spot in Irvine, CA. The staff is always so friendly, kind and knowledgeable. We had a vegetarian in our party and we asked for the veggie dumplings. The server came back and said they were out of a full order. But they had five left, so he could serve us those and to make a full order add another type. We were thrilled! Their pickled cucumbers are so good! The sesame noodles are amazing. The spicy noodles were good too. Not too spicy. The beef was just ok. They have yummy fried tofu and a special dipping sauce- yum-o! The veggie fried rice is to die for! Love it. And of course the dumplings! They are all so good. We love the pan fried ones a little better. We alway stop here when in Irvine! If you need an H-Mart it’s right across the street! Try this place you will not be disappointed!
Surrounded by larger restaurants, this smaller restaurant specializes in dumplings. It was a delightful surprise! Serves a variety of dumplings and other Chinese specialties. We preferred the steamed pork & shrimp dumplings along with the green onion pancakes. Great for quick bite or light dinner.
