I think it's crazy but prior to mokkoji I didn't really ever enjoy hot pot, quality of meat here is very good and it's probably the only place that's preventing me from being full on vegetarian.Very friendly staff with clean tables and delicious food. I always get the SH prime rib (marinated) with original broth with glass noodle. The yuzunade and the yuzu soju are probably the most authentic yuzu drinks to flavor and very refreshing. highly recommend!
All fresh veggies in a flavorful broth with spice levels for all ranges. It was a great time for dinner with friends!
The place was always great all around.but, today what happened to the thickness of meat?????Looks like the meat guy got recently trained by a master of prosciutto slicing. Why so thin!!!!!, I thought we were cooking prosciutto in the pot.Unacceptable. The meat should have been served with sliced melon. If inflation is getting to you, raise the price, don't make the meat so thin.I was at the restaurant from around 5 PM to 6:15 PM on Sunday, not busy at all. They should know why.
One of my favorite shabu places. Remember to always get your beef marinated.
Love the meat and sauce!I ordered Miso broth with Toro “Fatty Belly” . Rice and vegetable are included.Miso broth is not salty !!which is good!Meat is fresh and tender!!Always a line but worth to try then you will fall in love with it!
Garbage service, never got out dessert that we paid for. Girl waitress is kind of useless. never checked in. had to flag someone else down for the check and a third to pay... Ripped off, charged for dessert that we never got even though I explained to the guy I paid that we wanted it to go.
If you haven't tried their to-go hotpot yet, don't be afraid to. It's pretty good how they provide you with everything you need for a complete hotpot all while being able to add your own personal flair at home to up the experience. Albeit it is still pretty pricey.
The shabu here is really good! They had a wide variety of meats to choose from and they had a nice bowl of sides. I really liked the shabu here!
Pretty good Shabu Shabu bar. The location is pretty small so it is pretty difficult to sit a party of 6 or more at a table. They also require the whole party to be there before they will seat you. We ended up sitting at the bar, which was fine as everyone gets their own shabu shabu pot. The Ponzu and Goma sauces were pretty good. When you order meat it comes with vegetables and udon noodles. I was told you can order additional greens for no additional charge, but I was too full after eating all the meat (ordered XL size of the Toro) that I didn't get to take advantage of that. The broth, sauces and vegetables came out almost immediately, while the meat took about 15 to 20 minutes to arrive this was at Dinnertime 6pm Monday on Thanksgiving week so they were a little busy. When the meat came out the quality and the taste was great the Toro came dressed with what look like garlic and sesame oil. The meat was extremely flavorful. I would say if you like fattier meats and flavor go for the Toro. I would like to note that the meal comes with a bowl of rice. I didn't end up eating the rice since it came out pretty wet with a mashed potato like consistency, which some people might enjoy. Just not me. For the price and quality I will be coming back here hopefully on a less busy day.
Hostess very accommodating. Food was good
