Very average, edmame was cold, cucumber salad was sour and returned. Sushi rolls were good. Crunch roll, Ichiban roll good. Samuri roll was bad. It's just 4 pieces of mush that can Not be picked up. Just falls apart instantly in a plop on the plate. People were nice. A little pricey for level of food quality.
Other than salmon, the sushi has been consistently not fresh, with more than one occasion where I actually spit a piece of fish out ?. I'd almost resigned myself to not being able to get fresh sushi, until I ate at Jinbei. No comparison!
This is the best sushi place in Irvine. We go there every week and they have never disappointed nor have we felt sick, which seems to be the norm with literally everywhere else.Love the warmth and how fresh their food is.
Nice location! Always a good experience! Staff is nice and works really hard to make sure you are properly taken care of. Sushi is good, really fresh!

Great sushi place in Irvine. I highly recommend checking out this place! The portions are great and make sense! I really liked their sushi and sashimi combo! The fish was very fresh! Also the space is cozy and nice! The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a great time and highly recommend the place!
This was the worst experience with food I ever had.it was my first time ordering from this place & The last timeEverything was pre-made some of it was warmed up .After opening & testing few pieces I felt really bad.I tried to sleep it over but it didn't work , until this moment I right this I feel bad.
solid sushi and udon. the issue is we called several times to place an order to go, but the phone was disconnected. we had to go to the location and place the order in person, they said they stopped accepting orders over the phone. Even tho their website literally says, "call ahead/pickup orders". update your website as soon as possible.
Overall great experience and service and great location. I live in LA and found this sushi place when I came over to Irvine. The servers were attentive and great at serving. The rolls that I got were Eel Special Roll, Garlic Albacore Roll, Irvine Roll, Baked Spicy Langostino Roll, Harbor Roll which were all amazing :) But my favorite are Irvine Roll and Garlic Albacore Roll. <3 Each roll was unique to this sushi restaurant and the flavors hit the spot.Their fish are fresh which you can see from the colors especially the sashimi and poke salad were really goood. The tempura were well fried :) The teriyaki on the chicken teriyaki is made in the house which was a classic. Last, but not least seafood teppanyaki really complimented the meal with cooked stir fried vegetables. :) I will definitely take my friends and family again when I visit Irvine <3
Pretty good sushi. We ordered the Red Philadelphia Roll (my favorite) & the Ichiban Roll. Friendly service and attentive. Will return at some point.
