You’re reading this because you’re asking yourself exactly how New York is Johnny’s Real New York Pizza.Truthfully, it’s pizza. How can you possibly mess that up? It’s got quite an extensive menu but I came here to try a couple slices out so I ordered one pepperoni and one pepperoni with mushrooms added on. Each slice was $3.75 plus the extra $1 charge for the mushrooms. Like others have stated, I was a bit disappointed that they just had pizzas laying out under a heat lamp instead of putting it back in the oven for it to be nice and crispy again. However, since I did order one of them with mushrooms they put that in the oven to heat up and it came out perfectly. I consider a good NY slice to be big, toasty, foldable, and cheesy. These slices definitely hit the mark so I’m giving them a good rating simply because of that.Is it cheaper than most other locations? No, but you’re supporting a local business and not a commercial chain. I think it’s actually family owned and truthfully if they just reheated the pizzas they’d probably get better ratings. The pizza is promising and worth giving a first chance!
Great House Salad but the lettuce could be fresher. Great cheese and pepperoni slices. Pizza crust is tasty. They charge extra for credit cards.
This is an update to my previous review. With the change in ownership, there have been many negative experiences.First, when I called them a few days prior to an event, they said it would not be a problem to call about 30 minutes before closing to place my order. So, a few days later, I call them 40 minutes before closing to place my order and they tell me that they aren't taking any orders because they are closing and have other orders to fill. They didn't care that it was 40 minutes before and I had asked about it a few days before. So, that left me scrambling to find another place for my order. Worst customer service ever!!!!!Second, I decided to give them another chance after about 7 months. Wow, I found out that they charge an extra 4% if you pay by credit card BUT, they don't tell you that. The way I found out was because I paid in cash and they lowered my price and told me that they charge an extra 4% when passing by credit card. For those that don't know about credit card fees, the average free is about 2.5%, not 4%.Third, they reduced the size of the "2 Slices and a Drink.". The pizza used to be extra large, now it's large but the price is the same plus the extra 4%.Well, they finally put the mask in the coffin. I'm absolutely fine with this place. Never going back. The new owner lacks customer service, is nickel and diming you, and sneaks in a surcharge without telling anyone.
You call this chicken parmigiana? Horrible food!!! It was dry and there is no chicken only bread. You are thieves . I demande my money back. Stick with pizza guys. It was the only good thing in there.
I spent over $30 on an XL pizza and drinks and the cashier didn’t let my small kids use the restroom. I’ve been to this business more then once and this incident makes me not want to come back.
The guy that works here named Uli was very nice and sweet!! Thanks again!
After living in NYC for 14 years, this place would be out of business. I would have done better with a Walmart Pizza for $8 than this bland $32 pizza
I love this place so yummy great customer service. Will definitely recommend to friends and family
Had their NY cheese pizza several times and it was consistently rather authentic. Good area to sit indoor or outdoors.
Not my jam. I had it a few years ago but didn't remember why we never ordered again. The pizza may be "authentic" and that might be why I didn't like it. Very bland. Even with jalapeños on it. Even the red pepper and parm didn't make it taste like much.
