We really enjoyed the steamed dumplings, especially the Beef & Onion and the Chicken & Mushroom ones. The Plum Braised Beef and Spicy Tofu Skin were also extremely delicious. The mango & lychee Galaxy drinks were stunning and refreshing, and the environment was beautiful
Food was alright a bit overpriced for the portions, spicy boneless chicken was not worth it. It tasted good but the portions were too small and didn’t even come with rice. Part of our group got the special which was decent. The tofu salad was really good. Also got the taro dessert was good not too sweet. Over all it was alright not the best not the worse
The bok choy sauteed in garlic was delicious. I appreciated being able to smell the freshly cooked garlic before eating it. I'm picky about dumplings, and JA's were spot on. We ordered the dumplings in chilli oil, boiled dumplings, and pan fried ones. Then we ordered a second round of pan fried and boiled dumplings. The okra was also yummy. Served chilled. They were fresh, crunchy and tender. We also tried the iced milk tea, which was refreshing and sweet.
My overall opinion is that all of the dishes are quite tasty, but seem to have a touch of Asian American fusion. The dumplings are all very flavorful, and I appreciate that they offer steamed, pan fried, and boiled dumplings, which will change the texture and flavor of each of them. The simple dumplings containing shrimp or pork are the best. The stylized ones such as the flaming hot were a novelty that wasn’t that great. The green beans has great flavor, and a semi firm texture, while the bok Choi was lighter with a white sauce and crunchier as they trim the green leafy party. The mapo tofu had a quite authentic flavor, allowing you to taste a bit of the Sichuan spices and pixiam doubanjiang or similar peppers used to cook it.The beef dishes were also satisfactory, both offering fatty and flavorful meats. I love the cumin and pepper spices on the beef skewers, and could even go with more for that peak flavor. I was afraid the honey black pepper beef would be too sweet, but it strikes a good savory sweet balance, and the mushrooms were very tasty as well. From my limited experience, I don’t think that this is wholly authentic, but I did enjoy the dishes I tasted and think that it would be a great place to stop by and grab a bunch of dumplings.
i ate fingernails out of the signature dumplings…. It was very clean when I spitted it out. Can’t help imagining if I ate all the dirt in my mouth The manager and the waiters are very nice, I do not want to blame them for what happened. But for the business owner, please make sure this will not happen ever again, I hope the other customers won’t experience what I have experienced.
High quality food and top notch service. Nice to find an Asian restaurant with some classy ambience and service.
Price - on high side. dumpling(10) + pork belly dish + beer = half of B.F. including tip.Taste - pretty good, not great, bit blandPortion - Dumplings are too smallTea - Charge for basic tea?? Hot water is free?Nice interior, fantastic service, free hot water. This place is a perfect for petit ladies to chat over small dumplings.
This is a beautiful restaurant with good food and service. The dumplings and shrimp are delicious. Try the okra, it may change your opinion of the vegetable. It changed mine!
The facility is top notch, and the service was first class. The food did not stand out. Lacked seasoning. Chicken & morel noodle soup was bland, tasted watery, and the chicken was seriously overcooked, dry and honestly gross - it had obviously been cooking all day, why they put it in our bowl and served as food it is beyond me...which raises another question: how do you boil the chicken to the point where it serves no other purpose but as garnish, and yet the broth is flavorless???
Good food. Nice ambience. Little expensive but quality food. Overall good for dates. Not for family meals.
