The most delicious mango desserts and drinks! This is such a cute little shop, and if you like mangos then this the place to go. I recommend going during weekdays or mobile ordering because the wait was long to get our food since it was quite busy. Nevertheless it was worth the wait!
My wife wanted to try this as she is a big fan of these kind of desserts. We got the mango pamelo sago I believe. It was 8.50 dollars. I dont mind paying for something very expensive if the item is good, however this dessert came in a large plastic bowl only filled one-fourth of way up. I asked why this was not at least half way filled ( I know they ran out of small plastic) but they argued back to me that this was the size for what I paid. I didnt want to create a scene as they didnt just give me benefit of doubt but decided to argue back. I know what small size is, the large plastic should be at least half way. But all my wife got was about an inch of dessert. I completely found this distasteful and disrespectful. I do not ever want to come back here again unless the management can make an apology for my experience as you know, it is ok to charge almost 10 dollars for something but if you give something that is not what it is supposed to be? That is a disrespect to the paying customer. I believe the rushing two gals and the one guy just made a mistake and made ours very little, but instead of just adding more and rectifiying it, decided to uphold their end and argue back at me and my wife. For 9 dollars? Please advise. thanks.
Hui Lau Shan is my new favorite place for dessert! If you love mangoes as much as I do, you MUST stop by and try them out! What I had was almost like a mango icee/ purée with freshly cut mangoes on top, a scoop of delicious ice cream and rice balls. This combination may sound rich but it’s not. It is perfectly sweet, not too much or too little. Great job Hui Lau Shan!
Great place to check out after a hot beach day. Creative cold dessert, drinks, and more. This mango dessert place was highly recommended and we tried so many great things that day and will definitely recommend this to people who love mango, coconut, pudding, sago, and mochi. Will be back !
Very good! It’s placed in plastic bowl instead of glass bowls due to COVID but the taste of the dessert was very good. The staff was friendly as well. The not so good part was that the AC is extremely cold inside and they don’t have wifi.
If you love mango desserts, this is the place to go. Although, if you are lactose intolerant (like a friend I ended up coming here with) they may not have many dairy free options. Also, I confer they use fresh ingredients because the sweetness of this dessert depends on the mango variety in season.
I've been going here for 1.5 years now, their jumbo mango chewy ball is so delicious. My mom and I enjoy it a lot and we go here occasionally and order two of those if we're craving some delicious Hong Kong style mango chewy ball. The chewy ball includes mango-coconut ice cream, fresh mango, smoothie-like mango, mango pudding, and riceballs.
I love it!!!However, you have to inform your customers about the working hours by giving the right information. Google says you open at 1:00p.m. on Fridays, your windshield says different. I trust Google, but some people just read the windshield and pass.
As a mango-lover this place is a delight! Nice decor inside the store as well.
As a customer, I'm looking for value, cleanliness and service. Hui Lau Shan I was not able to get backstory on. Google Maps shows a chain lightly sprinkled from Los Angeles down to Orange County. We visited this Irvine location. After spicy tacos we were looking for a cool desert. Donuts and Starbucks were around. But the donut seemed too sweet, the Starbucks, pricey. HLS has custom assembled deserts centered around mango. Enter this store and see the A line offerings of mango with different complimentary ingredients. We had, A7 I believe a dish two people could share. Included was a bowl layered; black rice, 1/2 coconut milk and 1/2 mango puree, the diced mango. Presentation is superb but the light natural sweetness of all the ingredients was really a nice experience. There was also Durian pancake. A square shaped green thin almost crepe pancake. Filling was light creme fresh and Durian puree. My first time having Durian it did have a slight foretaste unique to Durian not unpleasant. Then the texture of the cream and fibrous apple sauce like Durian. An interesting desert. !!! They have seasonal dragon fruit drink in house now (11-2021). There are other parfiet like drinks available Palmetto for example. Pricing was reasonable around 25$ for two to share two deserts. We will be back to continue the light desert adventure. Last. I'd mention two staff people were very helpful and knowledgeable about the deserts and ingredients.
