If you’ve had egg drop in Korea, Flippoly is the closest thing I’ve found in the US.The sandwich was served hot with everything perfectly melted together. The bread is soft and toasty. The eggs are so fluffy and delicious. The sauce has the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and spicy. The blue lemonade is carbonated and delicious. The store is also pretty cute and had Kpop playing. The employees were nice and friendly.
This is a treat. Breakfast sandwiches are massive and tasty. The menu is creative with Korean flair.
Friend suggested this place because of their Dalgona Coffee. Placing an order was easy but had to wait about 15 to 20 mins for the food. We understand they are short of staff. Egg sandwich was mediocre. Coffee taste was good. They only have cold drinks, no hot coffee. There are no indoor seating, but plenty of outdoor patio tables that you can occupy.
I think personally, it's a little too sweet for me. The sauce is like condensed milk and Sriracha mayo. Nice place if you love egg sandwiches ? but perhaps they should skip the condensed milk.
Food is just okay (it’s hyped up way too much on social media). Would have rated higher, but they are so slow. I understand service delays due to pandemic-related staffing issues. However, even when staffing issues aren’t a problem they take at least 20-30 minutes to get your order out. I’ve tried them a few times since they opened in hopes that they’d figure out their process. Sadly they have not.
Excellent concept with excellent food. The great thing about these egg sandwiches is that the bread is a lightly toasted brioche. The inside consists of very homey Asian-inspired ingredients. You can have something as simple as an egg sandwich or you can have a protein in it (ham, bacon, bulgogi, cheese, or kimchi bulgogi). I opted for that kimchi bulgogi, and the flavors were explosive and delicious.Menu pictures might make it seem small, but it is quite sizeable. Definitely enough for one full meal. And conveniently, it has great drink and dessert options. They seem to be really into dalgona candy (Korean sugar candy) in their drinks, but they have some other non-dalgona options as well. Most of their soft serve is regular milk soft serve with a flavored sauce (e.g. matcha, strawberry, etc). Not the most creative but very convenient. They also have a photo booth, which is fun. Take some pictures with your friends/significant other for memories and keepsake. There are a few outdoor dining tables in that plaza, but be prepared to either stand or eat in the car.
Bomb as hell
Only tried the ice cream. Verdict: Overpriced mcflurry. Stick to the Asian flavors. The red bean ice cream was good, basically red bean filling coating the cup stuffed with soft serve. Chocolate flavor was inedible. Tasted like off brand chocolate sauce. Not the familiar Hershey's nor the decadent ganache flavor. Just meh. Threw it away half eaten. Maybe their breads and coffee is better.
Delicious and trendy drinks and sandwiches. Decent prices.
Delicious!
