The black bean sauce noodle with seafood is really good!!

Love the fried pork dumplings!!! Best to call ahead of time as they often sell out later in the day.

Very basic Chinese restaurant. Not for those with high expectations. Priced low and tons of ingredients. Generous. Good after taste. Comfort food for oldies.

I am new to the area. I was craving for Korean Chinese and found this restaurant. Today I finally brought my family and got these three dishes. We all like them. Frankly I did not have high expectations. Now it is our go to Korean Chinese restaurant. Can't wait to try other dishes on the menu!

Mixed feelings. Very kind, below avg red noodle, somewhat average fried rice, black noodle. No special watermark on menu

A day without our child…why not have an impromptu date?!We were in the area furniture shopping when the munchies crept up on us. We wanted something fast and close by and Chinese (hubz is Chinese and Irvine has a lot of Chinese restaurants).Cue Chai Lan.At first we were a little confused by the Korean…and then saw Chinese character on the menu. We failed to see it was Korean-ish Chinese food. Definitely not a bad spin.Everything about this place was cute. It was a nice day out, the service was amazing (you deserve 6 stars), and the food was yum yum good.We got 炸酱面. I think they translated it to noodles in black bean sauce. This was super taster and definitely recommend this dish. We also got 锅包肉. I like 东北菜 (northeastern Chinese cuisine), but this was a little off for my taste. Though, still good.Everyone of the servers were amazing. Smiles. Checking in. Asking if we need anything. More kimchi. For a lunch spot, they took care of their patrons, which made the food experience that much better. This is another definite must try. We’ll be back!

I visited many restaurant to find delicious Spicy seafood noodle soup and I finally found this restaurants. Even though this restaurants is a far from my house I will visit this restaurants to have the Spice seafood noodle. One more thing, I don't know why other people gave low rate to this restaurant. Somebody said service was bad. However, staffs are so so kind.

Found my new local go-to Chinese-Korean food joint. The jjajangmyun is so good, a little on the sweeter side but still has the strong jjajang flavor, lots of chunky onions and huge bits of meat. The sweet and sour pork was also good, perfectly fried. I asked them for a side of jjamppong soup and they happily provided it. I saw a bad review of the fried dumplings but the last time I had them, they were amazing. It's hard to find dumplings that are fried but still juicy inside. Most importantly, every time I go I see several tables of middle-aged Korean people eating and drinking which is always a good sign. I've only ordered takeout from here but I'd love to go back soon to dine-in and have some soju with all the yummy food!

Great Korean style Chinese restaurant in Irvine
