I decided to try this place out the other day. Upon arrival I noticed that everything looked messy! As I waited for about 10 minutes for assistance, I looked at what the employees were doing. The cook came over after I took these images and dumped rice into the bowl causing rice to fall on the floor. There was also a guy working the register and touching food without changing gloves. A lot of employees were touching their face and clothing and still preparing orders without changing gloves. I lasted long enough to see what I needed to see. This is a total health violation I would not eat at this location.Just posting as an FYI .
Worst experience ever….First, they only allow digital orders. But there is no way to know that until you drive there. Restaurant description still says it is dine-in.Second, for a bowl order, they tell us the pick up time is one hour later….. we had to go home and drive back for it.Third, They forgot to put falafels in my bowl!!! My bowl became pure salad without any protein.Fourth, they forgot to give pita bread that goes with bowl.Fifth , they did not provide utensils.What else can they do wrong?
They are online order pick up only. Good luck getting the quality that you remembered. The bowls we got were filled a quarter full, I asked for extra rice and extra protein, and they gave us probably half of what their regular portions were. Very disappointing service to a once amazing place for fast casual dining.
Understaffed but the team did decent considering. Visited during dinner rush and the line was empty on about 75% of options (i.e. “it’ll be about 25 minutes for rice”). Not a great option for a quick meal, but I commend the staff for being courteous despite frustrated customers waiting in the long line just to find out that there was no rice and only arugula.
I loved going to CAVA in Rockville, MD (which is where they started). This was my first local CAVA experience. I don’t know if I’ll go back to this location; it was underwhelming and there are so many other choices within the same complex.Agree with other recent reviews re: smallish portions.The chicken wasn’t seasoned; the toppings would have helped to punch up the flavor, but the portion size was tiny (three pickles, a few strands of pickled onion, a few half-olives).Service was polite, but slow. One staff member had his cap pulled down so low that you could not see his eyes at all, and he mumbled through his mask, so that was a bit awkward.Bathroom was dirty and out of toilet paper - I laughed because the sign on the bathroom said that it is sanitized hourly. No way that is being done.This location did seem to have enough staff members, but they probably need more management/oversight.
Used to love coming to this location but have been disappointed the last few times I’ve been here. I ordered online and when I arrived the portion size was way smaller than what it usually is. They were also out of stock on falafels and white potatoes when I placed my order when they opened. This is not the first time they have been out of falafels, it happens quite often. And the white potatoes are burnt and taste horrible pretty much every time, so I don’t order them anymore. Really disappointed in this place as I used to be a regular. Management needs to do something to improve this location.
This place is so good!Like a Mediterranean Chipotle with exciting flavors and tons of possible combinations. I really like building my own bowl and how you can choose half orders of things like grains and meats.
I used to love cava but they’ve become so stingy. I ordered a greens and grains bowl and it was on 3/4 full. I paid for a whole bowl idk why I only got .75 of the food. They could’ve loaded it with salad and toppings but didn’t. And I ordered half chicken and half meatballs. They literally gave two hard dry meatballs and half a spoon of chicken. Why do you treat paying customers this way. Feed people with your heart and treat customers like family man. Quality and freshness is still pretty good but they really need to step it up or else I see this location closing down due to surrounding competition. So disappointing.
Always a delicious and fresh. A bit on the pricey side. My daughter and I, two bowls and two drinks $35, should be $25. Great service.
First time here and it did not disappoint. I did not know what to order, this is definitely on the healthier side. The staff were nice and helpful and made it very pleasant for us as First timers. Looking for healthy? You found it.
