Since we were in the area, we believed the Alton Parkway CPK was an ideal place to bring our family. The food was delicious. But the service was slow and we had to request multiple times to have drinks refilled, bread for the table, food/plates were forgotten...What really makes this bad is that it was not even crowded. Unfortunately, we were not the only patrons that were affected by the slow service. Perhaps the waiters/servers were in training. (?)5 stars for the excellent food; 4 stars for atmosphere (some patrons were extremely bitter and spoke directly to the manager), and; 3 for the slow service.
Based on this experience, I would not go back. The hostess set us in a ridiculous spot where the foot traffic was high and at a tiny table. Her affect was completely flat, she had nothing pleasant to say and when I asked if we could sit somewhere else she seated us again a really tiny little table. If the place were packed that would be understandable but it was maybe 1/4 full.It took a long time for a waiter to come to our table. When he did he was very nice. But he never checked back on us, never refilled our water, never refilled our coffee. He was too busy waiting on a lady and her kid that spent $80 and left him a $5 tip. He would have fared much better waiting on us. Even though we didn't spend as much money, we would have tipped him a lot better than that. In fact we did tip him better than that. But not as much as we would have if we had any kind of service at all. The thing is, he wasn't even busy, he was standing around talking with other staff and there was a lot of staff on! The food which is the most important thing was just blah. The salad was pretty good the pizza was okay. My husband had a pasta dish which he was okay with and his salad was fine. But there is nothing outstanding that would encourage us to come back to this place again. Coupled with the very sad service I was very disappointed with our experience.
Our server didn’t know the menu at all. If I asked a question such as what bread my sandwich was made with, she had no idea. I asked a couple of other questions to which she also did not know the answer, nor did she have any intention of finding out. Once she took our order, it took over 30 minutes to receive our order, which was wrong. Since we were running very late at that point, we just ate what we were given. During our time in the restaurant, our server got about 5 other tables. Things went downhill from there for her and her customers. At that point, getting a glass of water was a chore. The whole restaurant seemed to be in chaos. The manager inevitably comped the order that was wrong and due to everything taking so long, we had to take most of it to go.We were really looking forward to tryouts by the butter cake but there was simply no time. Maybe another day at another location.
Always good! Excellent customer services Good food Good prices
March 2022Good fresh food, you can see them toss the dough for the pies. And I have no problem tossing them MY $dough$ because it's worth it. The service is GOOD ! My favorite servers are SEAN , KAREN, George is deece too. Try the kids sundae for dessert, cheap and good .They have sports on 3 screens near the bar area and no screens in the adjoining dining area. This place is well run .
We were sitting at the table for 25 mins and no one acknowledged us. There were two servers providing service to the tables around us and never approached us. We ultimately left after asking the host for assistance. We left without anyone noticing.
Went to California pizza kitchen today for lunch at 1:00pm on 3/22/22. Place was slow so we decided to enjoy the sun and eat outside. The manager sat us down and left. Our waiter Luis then walked up and waited on two other people who walked in about five to 10 minutes after us. We had plenty of time to look over the menu multiple times before he showed up. We placed our order and order two salads with our meal. We waited about 15 minutes before he showed up again and then said “one of the dressing wasn’t available” so we excused one of the salads. I was surprised on how long it took to find that out. Then we waited an additional 15 minutes and when the food was brought out both pizzas were cold to the touch and one of them looked like it was under the heat lamp for years. The bbq pizza was so cold that u could feel it on your finger nail. The two people Luis took care of first and that he put before us had alcohol beverages so Im sure he felt that was a top priority over a family. Sad to see that with this inflation the service and priory is gone. I will never eat at that place at the spectrum again. Bad service and no effort in the kitchen or waiting on the customers.
We went after a concert for dessert, coffee and wine. The desserts were exquisite. Key lime pie was a hit! Our server was excellent. Solid choices for wine.
Nice food and good time spent on valentines day.
Awesome service! Karen was amazing. Super busy night 2/20/22 but she manage to provide A+ service.
