I have been coming to Café Rio for the past 8 years now. I LOVE getting the veggie burrito with black beans and rice ( enchilada style). The food and service here is exceptional, that’s why I’m a loyal customer.

Good food. Good people. Good eats. We had a random person pay for us on taco Tuesday so it was clutch. God is good.

Always clean, and the staff is friendly. Food wise, we usually go with the nachos. They offer the usually Mexican cheese blend that you can melt, but their specialty is their queso cheese sauce. Toppings wise, make it according to your likes. Personally, we like the green hatch chile sauce, sour cream and guac. Oh, and the cotija cheese... Get the queso cheese sauce. Otherwise, I'll shake my head at you. Cheers!

Decided to stop by after the gym. It was 7pm and they were out of alot of ingredients and meats. Barely got acknowledged by the worker. Felt like she didn’t want to be there. With 7 workers it took over 15 Mins from when I got in line to be able to finally order.

Found out that Cafe Rio does not have cooks available to prepare food that they run out of. I went to a second location to order steak and they ran out but offered if I wanted to come back in one to two hours they might have it then. Seems like a weird business practice but sadly effects people's dining options that they don't tell people about. But if you want the meats that were prepared early that morning and sat there all day long you are welcome to those.

Quality is good. Pricing is silly, $12 for a burrito?Service was fine, but not very guided...

It's alright, like a lesser version of Chipotle. The service was bad. The girl making our burritos had no idea what salsas they had and what salsas ran out. The cashier didn't know how to properly put in a coupon neither.

Previously had a 5 stars, hate to drop to 4 but there is one common issue every time I go in on a Tuesday...they run out of their amazing horchata at around 5pm (when I normally go in for Taco Tuesday). Seems like they should know that they need to make extra when they run out so early every Tuesday.Besides that the staff is always amazing, food is great, place is clean, can't go wrong here unless you like horchata like me.

Give me a a minute to tell a story. I've went to this Cafe Rio dozens of times, and up to a couple months ago, it was a disaster! But then, something magical happened. I walked in, and I treated with the utmost care, respect, and experience. I don't know what the management did, but it worked. Now, this Cafe Rio is exceptional. I fully recommending going to this location, and I publicly express my thanks to this management. Well done!

Excellent lunch! Walked into Irvine Café Rio and carried lunch home. Ordered 2 fire grilled chicken quesadillas w fresh lettuce and tomatoes and double shredded beef enchilada w rice and beans. Food was exactly as ordered and delicious. We are fortunate to have this restaurant at Alton and Culver. The food is consistently good and the portions are generous. Thanks Luis...happy December!
