The quality at this location has gone downhill. The chicken isn’t fresh and the breading is not consistently applied. Some pieces have almost no breading. The biggest issues seems to be that the chicken is pre-cooked and then finished to order. I remember the chicken being moist and having a good amount of consistent amount of breading and sauce. I won’t be coming back and spending $36 for a box of mediocre chicken. Used to be great. Not so great now.
Food is good and the staff was nice!I ordered the og fried chicken with spicy sauce on side and kimchi fried rice. Both were great!
Obsessed with the boneless honey garlic and original. You can't go wrong with both! Don't skip the radish kimchi that comes with- it's the perfect compliment!
Was disappointed with their chicken. I had other k-fried chicken which are far better than BB.Q
Sweet and savory, extra crispy, and finger licking good is how I would describe their honey garlic chicken wings (our family likes them bone-in)! My kids regularly ask for take out from here. I would say the wings are perfect about 9 out of 10 times, hence the 4 stars instead of 5, and I don't recommend ordering the kimchi fried rice as it wasn't great. Overall, if you're in the mood for some good "chi-mek" (chicken & beer), this is the place for you!
I ordered food at 4:00 pm over the phone and scheduled to pick it up at 6:00 pm. However, when I arrived there they said they don't have my order. It turns out that the guy pick up my call missed my order and forgot to deliver to kitchen. And they said I need to wait 30 mins. Wait, in that case why called you advance? The manager was not in store, and the guy even did not try to solve the problem. @Manager in this spot, can you hire better guy? The attitude was super rude and I have no plan to revisit. If anyone wants to visit this site, double check if they have your order correctly. They will just hang out your order and completely forget it.
Today I've order whole chicken half and half combo with sweet potato.I have read few of reviews posted on Google. Lots of them mention about chicken is too soggy. Yes, definitely soggy, I think they fried lot of chickens at once, they don't know how to measure oil temperature, or overcook the chicken. I think the sogginess is caused by oil. I think they fried lot of chicken, drops oil temperature which they need to fried chickens longer then normal, which chicken batter soaks with more oils then normal.
My sister and I arrived around 5:30 pm on a Saturday. We both ordered at least two items each and my sister ended up ordering food to-go as well. We weren't able to leave until 8:30 or 9 pm. I'm not sure if this is usual for this restaurant or they were short-staffed. But we got our sides first and our chicken last. Then it took a long time to get our checks. Our server was genuinely sweet and was able to give her opinion when my sister couldn't decide on what to get. But I think the servers should check more on their diners outside to see how they're doing. All the food we had was delicious. We would go again but hope our visit is a lot shorter.
Not that good and expensive. Not as good as the first bbq chain in diamond jamboree. The batter or coating is thick and some chicken were not fully cooked. Not crunch only after 10 min drive home which means either temperature of the oil was not high enough, cooking was not long enough or the batter ingredients were not right. Should follow the same recipe among all chains. Real fried chickens in South Korea may not be possible in Irvine but KFC is better than this one.
Super crispy!Love BB wing.
