Was a very authentic Italian fresh pizza crust, great Italian toppings. This is not American pizza, divine. Gluten free was just as good as the regular.
The ambiance and decor of the place has a modern italian style which is plesant to look at. However the high celing, tile floors, and the lack of deviders makes for a rather noisy place. Ordered the Risotto di Asparagi con Capesante and Branzino. The Risotto had a very light flavor which was compized mostly of butter and asparagus. The scallops that came with it were rather salty and fishy tasting. The Branzino (Sea Bass) was cooked just right. It was light and buttery with a delicious crust. The potatoes that came with it had a smokey, nutty flavor yet some of the tomatoes were overwhelmingly salty. Aside from the sea bass and potatoes the meal wasn't impressive. If we come back we'll try the pizza instead.
The place is really fancy but the food is worse than takeout. We ordered two pizzas and both of them were really dry. There was barely any sauce or toppings on them. The crust was burnt and they were completely tasteless. I wish they would focus more on providing better food for the diners than just the ambience and the fancy prices. I am never going to this place ever again
One of the few good Italian restaurants in Irvine. My family and I have been going to Angelina’s for over two years.Delicious food and very good service. The staff are very courteous too.The Branzino is a must try!
Delicious neopolitan pizza. You can tell the dough, sauce, and mozzarella cheese are fresh and high quality. I've had pizza in Naples, Italy...and this is the closest I've tasted to that in the US. Really good. The tomato sauce is what really hits it out of the park for me. Tastes like it's made with fresh tomatoes. The atmosphere is really nice here too and our server was very friendly. I just have to add in response to some other people's negative reviews of the pizza here...if you don't like this style of pizza, that's fine but just recognize that American pizza and Italian pizza are not the same. Don't come here expecting Domino's. ??♀️
Awesome italian food highly recommend, their pizza is one of the best you'll find anywhere and the service is tops. They even have servers who speak Italian super authentic.
Came here during the 2022 OC restaurant week and ordered their lunch set. Pretty happy with the quality and portion of the food. The margarita pizza was amazing as always, and the cannoncini with mango sauce was excellent. Definitely recommended.

I had the spicy Diavola pizza and Chardonnay over the weekend. The foods and service was amazing. My parent came into the town so I decide to bring them here. They were really happy with everything and have a great time. Would highly recommend the place and come back in the future. ???
