The ordering experience was bad. Bad customer service from the lady taking the order. You can't substitute the sides and there's only a couple of options. They didn't know if the potato salad was mustard based because the lady said it gets delivered from somewhere else. The ribs and links were smothered in a thick vinegar based bbq sauce that was just horrible! The ribs tasted over cooked and old, definitely not freshly bbq'd.

IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THE FLORENCE LOCATION IS CLOSED AND HAVE BEEN FOR MONTHS NOW.With that being said, I went to the Inglewood location. Being Father's Day, I expected a long line. Instead, there were no lines, just a very long wait. But all was worth it. I ordered a slab of pork ribs, whole chick, pound of chicken, rib tips, potato salad, and greens w/corn bread. My only complaints are that the corn bread was missing (but lots of bread to enjoy) and the rib tips were overcooked. Other than that, everything else were awesome.

Reviews and write-ups on the wall suggest that the ribs here, while the founder was alive, were fantastic. But that was then. My pork ribs were barely OK, with decent flavor but way too much fat. The real problem was the chicken, which was so dry and overcooked that even barbecue sauce couldn't make it edible. Sides were unremarkable - bland coleslaw and baked beans roughly equivalent to canned. Service was very welcoming and friendly, though, and there was a line on Friday night.

They went down not all Woody's. The one on slauson the ribs are always amazing. The beef is fantastic and the chicken don't get me started on a chicken but the Inglewood location is not good at all. The ribs were fat. The potato salad was nasty and the baked beans were watery. Go on slauson Don't waste your time here. You're not going to be satisfied.

Slow cooked ribs made with love. Tastes of southern home cooked home food in California. Very popular establishment in the area.

I just left Woodys 2/12/22. I tried to order but couldn't? The line to order was very confusing, they only had four people waiting and it took 25 minutes for me to arrive to the window to order. Once I arrived to the window to order the cashier was very rude, unprofessional, ghetto and rachet. Just horrible service. DuringSuper Bowlweekend. .Maybe

Got the beef sandwich, spicy, with a corn muffin and collard greens. Everything was tasty. Beef is a bit thicker cut than I like on a sandwich but it was lean and delicious. Loved the sauce. A good kick but not super spicy. It soaks through the bottom bun, so prepare to get messy if you eat it like a sandwich. The greens were perfect. Not too salty like other BBQ joints tend to do. Unfortunately, we found part of the twist tie that holds the raw stalks together in ours, but I chalk that up to our usual bad luck and not a regular occurrence. The corn muffin was just so-so. No fountain drinks here, cans only, and Shasta at that. Also no indoor seats or heater so take it home or dress for the weather. Would try it again if in the neighborhood.

I was between bus transfers. Guests ordered at a walk up window and social distanced on the outside patio or their cars. I've been to the location on Slauson, West of Crenshaw. I like that one do thought I'd try this one. The process was quick from order to pick up. I ordered 2 a la carte sides. Rib tips no sauce. And chicken no sauce. Both were tender and well seasoned.

I placed a phone order, when i arrived order was not ready. I stood in line informed the lady i had a phone order. Once i paid then the order was placed. I had to wait, there was no use in placing a phone order...BUT if the food was good i would have been okay. Food was horrible. Order small end dinner double potato salad and 1 rib dinner double potato salad. 1 order had beans and potato salad. The ribs on both orders were gross tasted boiled, they had no flavor just sauce. Strange. I am done with woodys as long as i live they will never get another dime from me. I only went because my 81 yr old mother wanted it, so i decided to get something for myself. I stopped getting food for myself here some time ago. But my mom has learned a lesson. Prior to this visit i came for her and they gave her molded bread, well she didn't learn. But this time i think she did. Gross

Got the pork ribs slab...absolutely delicious!!! Tender and juicy...was able to bite meat off the bone without all of it coming off the bone which is the way it should be!!! The mix of regular and spicy sauce is bomb!!! Will definitely be back as I saw what the beef ribs looked like and they looked delicious...also need to get myself a tshirt so hopefully they're back in stock...
